How many of us Auburn fans are kind of excited about the changes?

I've been watching AU play football for many many years. I've enjoyed the ride the coaches and players have given us these past three years. I am certainly not complaining about winning a NC, but watching this team the past three years, it didn't feel like an Auburn team. Offense oriented, defensively struggled.
I have no idea which way we go on coaching hires, but I would love to see us get back to having a brutal defense, with a "capable" offense. We looked like a Big12 team out there even on our best days. I want to be a punishing SEC team again.

I've giving up all hope because the SECr says we are a sinking ship.

Well, you are knee deep in water.

So is Stoops going to Auburn or Pitt?

But if the water is only knee deep there is nothing to worry about. Auburn will bounce back no worries.

Old school here and I certainly enjoyed the ride last year... Was at the 17-16 game as a senior in high school.
After Tubs last year and the 3-2 win and 14-13 loss, I was excited about offense... So enjoyed the first two years of offense and the exciting comebacks and close finishes.
However, I love defense also and all you have to do is see LSU and Bama. Chiz is a defensive coach and I am ready for some hard hitting football games.
Life and football goes in cycles. I am ready for a nice balance of offense and defense.

Im happy to be rid of Roof but not Gus.
I think we could still have a fast offense and ridiculous defense like we used to have.

Defense = Auburn
Auburn = Defense
these always went together except in 09-11..
Not gonna say I miss that Brutal Defense but I still have flashbacks of the Sack Brodie game..
On 2nd thought.. Yall keep the crap defense..

To many it seemed boring, but I loved that Auburn-LSU game in '06, I think. It ended 7-3 Auburn, but that was a hard hitting game. I kinda miss those.

The LSU-Aub games were some of the best SEC games a few years ago - not so much in the past 2-3. Maybe last year - but Cam was a freak.

I will be happy if we can get a DC that will teach kids how to properly tackle someone.

Said it before, I'm actually intrigued by Auburn needing to fill both coordinator spots. Is it an ideal situation? Obviously not. But I look at it as two new Christmas toys we get to disect and argue about.

After reading some of the player comments after practice, it makes you wonder what Roof and Chiz were doing. They're acting like they have never been taught proper technique at all.
