LSU loses that game and they're not even in the conversation. This isn't Alabama where losses don't apply and everyone is riding on your nuts.

I am not sure if a home loss is hurts more than a road loss to an average team...I do think strength of schedule matters...for this reason I give a slight edge to Okie Lite...on a personal not I would love to stomp bamas butt twice in the same year just to shut down the sense of entitlement notion once and for all

Unfortunately, NCAA is not like the NFL. There is no playoff in college football.
You're not making apples-to-apples comparison. You're trying to sell your position.

Regular season is an elimination process... you were eliminated on Nov.5th.

Pulled this gem from TideFans:

If I am Slive on am on the phone with CBS Monday morning demanding Verne and Gary's resignations. If CBS wants exclusive broadcast rights of the SEC nationally, then the SEC should expect exclusive promotion of the SEC nationally. These guys are absolute idiots for pumping teams from other conferences over SEC teams! So what if CBS is not broadcasting the BCSNCG, all it does is make the next season even more valuable to CBS. Good grief, is there not any loyalty anymore?

Do we also only have 3 wins against teams with winning records and 2 ranked teams?
And are we losing in Tiger Stadium?
Those are key components to my thinking.
Im sure I would find it in me to argue for it though...

Non-conference champs should never get to the title game in the current formula. You want non-conference champs to get a legit shot? Playoffs.

The "fan side" of me says YES ... but the rational side of me says that it wouldn't be right. How does a 3rd place conference member go to a championship game when there is a 1 loss team that won it's championship?

If Bama had won 9-6 OT, do you think LSU should get a rematch?
And the game had been played in Baton Rouge?

I can't wait for the rematch, beating you twice in a season is going to be PRICELESS!!!!!! What is the paid for by ESPN show for the tide tards gonna say then, if this woulda happened and they didn't do this, hell Bummer woulda won, hell you know bummer is the best team, hell Bummer just gave a second game to LSU, Lsu real lucky we messed up twice, can we get the BEAR back for next year, little Dicky Semen been slipping up alot son!!!!

Would you LSU fans think you should go to NOLA over Okie Light?
Of course they would, but that doesn't make Bama fans right for wanting to be in. You know the ol saying, great minds think alike? Well, so do dumbasses.

I think you should win your conference to be considered for the national championship game. When is the last time a non-conference champion played in the Super Bowl? That's right, never. Did the 49ers get a second shot at the Cowboys in the early 90's when they were clearly the two best teams in the NFL? No, the Cowboys played a weaker team from another conference (AFC) in the Super Bowl after winning the conference (NFC). Bama was eliminiated when LSU clinched thec SEC West, and I would feel the same if the roles were reversed.

Some of you LSU fans are making me get all misty hearing your traumatic plight in life, but then I think about 2007 and it makes it all better.

Before the game was even played the talking heads said if Bama were to loss there should not be a rematch because of home field. They also said that LSU would get more of a consideration for a rematch if they lost in a close game do to it being an away game. These are the statement prior to the game on 11-5. Live with it.

I've been saying no rematch also. You live with it.
