In my opinion there is a new Rivalry for Alabama. Auburn and Tennessee were once good rivalries, but UT is in a down time in their program's History, and UA/AU have zero respect for each other. In my opinion great rivalry games consist of good teams, great respect, great coaching and actual meaning to the game itself. Everyone knows that for the foreseeable future LSU/BAMA winner most likely be the favorite for the SEC championship and quite possibly the National championship, and I mean no disrespect to UGA or Arky, or AU fans thats just the way I see it.This is the new great rivalry and I believe both fan bases have respect for each other despite what fans say in the rant.

No it's not. Great games. Not a rivalry in the sense that Auburn and Tennessee are. It took decades to build those games.

LSU/BAMA rivalry started when Saban began coaching Bama. It's been great match ups since.

They are good games, but not of the rival sense IMO.

A rivalry takes years and years to develop and usually contain a great amount of hatred between the two teams. The iron bowl is the best rivalry in the country.

I hope that's sarcasm. That was the opposite of rivalry. Bryant was 8-2 against him.

You'll have to excuse him he is still maturing and doesn't really understand the history or meaning of the word.

If by foreseeable future you mean through Jan 2012.

You would have made the same statement about UF just two years ago.

Two years ago, it was UA/Fla. Now its UA/LSU. Do you actually know what a rivalry is?

The reason I hope we play Bama in the Title game is b/c they are the team I would rather lose to.

Screw letting a Big 12 team jump in the mix and mess up the SEC Domination Mojo(If that were to happen anyway).

If we have to lose this year, I'd rather lose to Bama than Okla. State.

and.....What greater way to end a legendary season than beating Bama?

One or the other is going to happen and I'm ok with either.....but loosing to a Non-Conference team in the NC game would suck more.

If we win the NC, I think it would be a VERY heated rivalry from then on. Stealing their season would be the last straw.
