You guys were the only team to hold them under 29 points. Just curious what you guys did to slow them down and how you feel our D matches up?

Dont let them run..at all.

Protect against the big pass play.

You match up well.

Ark only has one advantage in match-ups, TE's,RB's,WR's against the LBs of LSU in the passing game. LSU keeps the damage here to a minimum and they roll.

The key to beating us is simple. Don't give up long plays. Run the ball long drives. Win turnover margin. Do those and you'll have a great chance of killing us.

we have a pretty decent running game now though.

Johnson and a bunch of players were hurt for that game. Something all posters here and the national media did not and do not address.

our best run plays seem to come on draws when opposing teams blitz.

Score from 50+ yards out. We've been doing that a lot against the pigs the last few years.

Don't give up long plays.

Last season, we gave up a ton of big yardage plays. In fact, I believe last season we gave up 8—8!—TD's of 40 yards or more. This season has been a much different story. To my recollection, here are the total number of big yardage plays we've given up this season:
• 72- and 38-yard plays to WVY
• 65-yd. TD to Florida
• 44-yard run to Auburn
• A 26-yard run to Bama
• 47-yard run to Ole Miss last night
I might've missed one or two others, but that's about it. The 2011 Tigers have tightened up tremendously in this area, and this is just one of several reasons I have confidence against Arky. It'll be a helluva game, but this is an entirely different and better Tiger team than the ones we've watched the past three seasons.
