Probably won’t be the Citrus Bowl because we open next season there vs FSU.

They actually use a company called Breg for their custom knee braces. Equivalent if not better than DonJoy. They also do special pricing for high school athletic programs.

With our offense moving to more of a spread out passing game, I hope we can use him in a similar role to the way Auburn uses Mcaleb- speed sweeps and screens.
With Shep, OBJ, J Landry,K Boone, A Johnson and possibly C Patterson, I think we are pretty set at WR. With Mett slinging the ball around to these guys, I think our offense is going to roll next year!

Dale's teams overachieve
The biggest issue is that the football program is they are not "overachieving". We have as good if not better talent as any program in America. Our players have been under-utilized (not finding ways to get Shep the ball) or misused (JJ was never an option QB).
The football team needs to find an identity on offense and go with it. We went from being a pass heavy team with JaMarcus and Flynn to a power run team with JJ and Lee. I'm all for adjusting to the talent you have, but consistency will bring you the talent you need to be successful.

I am with many of you guys and have had a love-hate relationship with Miles. I gained a new appreciation for him this season after the way he handled all of the controversy surrounding the team. Many other teams would have folded like a cheap suit.
I am torn between not wanting to accept anything less than a championship, but not wanting to become Nebraska- who's spoiled fan base was winning 10-11 games a season, fired their coach because that wasn't good enough only to spend the next 12 years as a .500 team.
We could do a lot worse than Miles- even with all of his quirkiness. I appreciate the fact that he is not ripping our players on national TV every weekend and puts a quality product on the field 99% of the time.
2012 is going to be a great season. It's time to put 2011 in the rearview mirror.
Just one man's opinion...

re: Any word on CJs injury?

It all goes back to what they find in the MRI. I was in the hospital for two weeks after my surgery and on crutches for another 6 weeks. But that was 20 years ago and I wasnt anywhere near the athlete of these guys..
I would guess (worst case scenario) he would be held out for the spring and be ready for the fall.

It depends...
Did he have surgery? If so, there is a condition that can set in Avascular necrosis, it is what Bo Jackson got after his first surgery, that lead to needing a total hip replacement... and we know how that worked out for Bo.
If he did have any type fracture, bone fragments can tear up the cartilage in the joint. That can be hard to detect in a MRI.
I never had it pop out again, but my hip just never quite worked the same way. I tended to over compensate on my left side (dislocated the right side) which led to some back issues later on in life.

I actually had the same injury when I was in high school playing football. I had to have surgery to clear out some bone fragments when part of the joint broke as it was dislocating. Popping it back into place was horrible.
I never got back down to my speed before the injury. Then again, I wasn't close to the athlete of these guys. The rehab wasn't bad. Lots of stretching and range of motion exercises.
I hope he comes back full strength. Regaining trust in the joint is the hardest part. I'm sure the trainers will ensure he will be ready for next fall.

I have Russell Shepard making an unexpectedly large impact for the Tigers and Eddie Lacy breaking a long one for the Tide.
Sleep will not come easy tonight. I can't wait for this thing to get kicked off.

Well he just burnt up any credibility he had gained by criticizing Saban for putting OSU #4 on his ballot...
What a joke...

2012 OOC Football Schedule?

Does anyone know who we will be playing OOC next season?
Thanks!
Thanks!
re: Is it coming to a head?

I agree that both fan bases have taken it to a new level of craziness. Some of the stuff I read on here just makes me shake my head...
I do have to say that being on TD while listening to Finebaum absolutely drives my blood pressure up. Something about putting a voice to the crazy comments drives me over the edge.
Looking forward to the NCG. Both teams played their way in and are deserving of a shot.

Sorry... I meant in 2012.
Option QB
Posted by Tigerfan507 on 12/6/11 at 5:32 pm
Do we have anyone currently on the team who can run the option at QB next season? It doesn't look like we have anyone coming in who will be able to run it effectively.
I'm not sure we would have beaten Alabama without having that wrinkle in our offense and would hate to lose it.
Anyone else feel the same way?

I have to add Brent Musberger to the mix. He is a complete west coast homer. I hate that SOB even when he's calling games that LSU is not playing in...

What do you think about this? Getting some good young talent to build around and swapping bad contracts with Okafor and Turk?
Orlando would take CP3 without the gaurantee of him signing after the season because they know he's their only chance of keeping Howard...
