Both are pretty nice. Mizzou has more of a campus feel. It's often said that it's difficult to tell where South Carolina's campus begins and ends.

If you have been to both and you say SC is better then you must have mind worms. Columbia, MO is great.

Columbia, MO is a nice college town...

Never been to SC.
Columbia, MO is a great college town. The law enforcement there is no joke, however. The incident with HCGP last night is a very common occurrence.

Are we comparing a college town to a city?
One will have a more football feel, and the other a more cultural feel.
Both have each, though.

Well since the Missouri one is kinda like the real columbia in that its cheif export is a white powder that people get fricked up on. I'm going to say that the correct answer is SC.

I can't speak for the one in MO as I've never been there and though our Columbia has its own issues it has a great upside. It has a good bar / downtown scene for younger college kids in 5 points and one for the older still living the younger life crowd in the Vista. It obviously is home to a large university and a great amount of historical stuff (for those that are into that kind of thing, the state museum here is great) It is also only a couple hours away from the beach and the mountains so thats always a plus.

Have spent time in both
Very different, IMO.
But, if I had to live in one, I'd have to say Columbia, MO.
Oh, shite...
forgot proximity to beach.
I'd have to say Athens, GA.
