That will be such an incredible atmosphere next week. I can only assume Mizzou fans will be under-represented though.

re: Do mizzu fans really think they have a chance to win saturday?

I'm still at a loss as to why parents allow their little children to use the internets.
It is theoretically possible that TN wins but will be incredibly difficult for them to be victorious. Mizzou has been playing well even without it's starting QB and top corner.
I find it amusing (though not surprising) that people continue to mention how Mizzou is beating banged-up teams.
Ah well. Have fun Saturday.

Academic big four? lol, Everyone knows the only people who go to Mizzou are Illinois residents who can't get into U of I. UGA has superior academics to the likes of Mizzou.
I come back and this board is still full of retards? Damn.

re: Franklin or Berkstresser?

Berks is a better QB imo. He is accurate, strong and absolutely rifles the ball to the receivers. He also seems pretty tough (not saying JF isn't).
The problem for Pinkel is that he can't really pull Franklin right now. That would ruin any confidence he has and who knows if he would even stay if he gets demoted.

I was under the impression that the injuries in the SEC were supposed to occur throughout the grind of the season.
3 weeks in and Mizzou is banged up all to hell. At the start of the season I was more confident of our chance to beat UGA than USCe. Oh well.
I think I will start a new drinking game when Mizzou plays: Every time the snap is fricked up, everyone takes a shot.

Agree about the One Mizzou commercial. Thanks for the props.
Backup QB definitely has an arm. It would be nice if he didn't telegraph his passes. And I don't understand why we continue to run the QB so much. Our O-line continues to worry me, along with FG kicker. Defense is looking better than last year, thank god.
I will say I was impressed with ASU's cheerleaders. Breast Augmentation must be popular out there.

guess you cant read you gigantic frick. it's not that hard to support two universities in all of their endeavors. then again, it is kinda tough when one of them can't beat rice.

Ok, maybe I should change my allegiances to Bama football and UK basketball?

LOL Get the frick out of here. How do you bandwagon on two schools?
Yeah, I've seen that douchebag post on here before too.
It's so funny. A gal I know from ks is always hyping up LSU football, saying things like "we're gonna win the NC this year" then come to find out she roots for kansas in basketball! Typical dumbass kansans.
But seriously, we all know Missourians are from the Midwest. And for the record, at Faurot Field the menu says 'soda' and not 'pop' or 'coke'.

You will learn quickly that UGA fans are some of the WORST in the SEC.
I was at the game and I only witnessed 2 douchebags (both young, drunk kids so who cares).
UGA fans were very polite, knowledgeable and I was even able to understand their accents.
They were loud when they were supposed to be, and the OLD MAN FOOTBALL chant was funny. I did think it was silly when they tried to interrupt our chants with their own but I will never fault a visiting fanbase for being vocal (unless they start making personal attacks or acting like jackasses when there are kids nearby).
They were great fans from my perspective. Now, we shall see how they behave when Mizzou fans show up at their stadium.

Awesome.
Thanks for coming to CoMo and 99.99% of the UGA fans were very polite and knowledgeable.

2. Your student body needs to dress like they're in the SEC and not in the big 12. T shirts and no sundresses?
I noticed yesterday before the game that there were MANY more black and gold sundresses than in years' past.
We are on the right track.

win the 4 non-con games and then only 2 conference games, right?
Mizzou won't win the East but damn. I suppose it's possible but I question your knowledge of college football.

Met lots of great Florida fans from the last couple of days in College Station this weekend. Very respectful and well educated on football. What a difference from Big12 fans.
I hope you were treated we'll and had a blast.
Good to hear this. I was impressed by the UGA fans as well. They were knowledgeable and polite.
re: Texas will have a better record against the SEC this year
Posted by Quantrill on 9/9/12 at 10:48 am
both A$M and Mizzou were winning and had chances to win their respective games against ranked opponents.
Not every SEC team is ranked (though more than in the Bevo 12) and I'm fairly certain both teams will win more than 1 conference game.
Good luck with your longhorn network. I hope it goes really well.

You're missing my point tyler. Nobody bothers mentioning Mizzou came into this game depleted also. It's all about the players Georgia lost. Not going to get into a pissing match about the game, or the two teams. It's meaningless now, and I won't make excuses. Just the simple fact being....Mizzou was shorthanded too and played a very competitive game for 3 plus quarters.
This is 100% accurate but oh well. We need to take our lumps and move on. UGA had lots of false starts and had to call a couple timeouts due to the noisy atmosphere. MU was winning for almost 3 quarters. We came to play, but UGA was more prepared and they deserved the win.
I'm sure deep down every SEC fan realizes the importance of solid play on both O and D lines, as it is always preached when they speak with fans of other conferences. I don't think our O Line will be solid until at least next year so this will be an interesting season to say the least.
And why oh why did we run the QB up the middle so much when we had so many receivers being covered by UGA's backups? :banghead:
