Saban throwing players under the bus IDGAFIAP

Basically said they lost bc of kickers missing fg's and a guy not fielding a punt. What a frickin dickhead. Why not find a better way to say it? He was desperate for points early on and scared to punt, putting his kicker in position to fail. Then he puts an injured player out there as a returner. THOSE KIDS FOUGHT THEIR HEARTS OUT against a great LSU team and he wants to blame them for the loss? Lol, he'll never change.

You need to clean the wax out of your ears kid.

I get what you're saying, but it's the truth. There is no good excuse for 4 missed field goals. If we made any of those who knows how the game would have turned out. And I'm sure the players know they fought their hearts out.

You didn't watch all of it then. He said it in almost those exact words.

fricking hell read his post game comments

It just gives him more time to preach about the process not being complete.

Field goals over 40 yards are not locks. So coaches would punt or go for it in those situations

I'm betting the kickers will be riding around in Yukons next year

Surprisingly, he defended his players saying no one wanted to win more than them, that he was really proud of them, and said you can't put it all on the kickers b/c you have to look at what happened before that that stalled the offense.

I don't think he threw anyone under the bus. Said they made some mistakes which is true of any team in any game. Basic coach speak.

Typical Saban underthebusride... (and then back over the kid..)
He surely didn't say the truth... "the kid had never kicked fieldgoals this long before in a game, and we couldn't move the ball on their end, so rather than punt... I thought we'd just keep sending him out there and hope he'd make at least ONE fifty-yarder out of four!"
"The process" includes letting the coach humiliate the kids so they will play better next week.
The humiliation will continue until the morale improves!

Man, it's not like y'alls guy missed a bunch of freakin chip shots - please.....
Saban knew it was going to be a very low scoring game, and tried to get points when he had the chance. Period.
Looking back, I'm sure he probably wishes he'd have punted on some of those, but y'all didn't lose this game because of some epic special teams breakdown.
50 yard field goals are tough to make.

Nick's a pro at this; the art of blaming everyone but himself while appearing not to do so to the casual observer. He'll even throw in an occasional "it starts with me" to try to throw off the scent, But if you listen long enough, you'll find diiferent. My favorite was his "Utah/Sugar Bowl" escuse: The players didn't listen to what he was telling him and neither the players nor the fans were excited enoough about the game.
Gotta love Nick. He's never lost a game.

50 yard fgs are gambles at best. Saban continually bet against the house and lost.
