I like LSU's approach to this game better

And that scares me. I think the "business" approach is good when playing mississippi schools and arkansas teams but for a game like this i think its super important for the players to be excited, like a college student, and enjoy themselves. Miles seems to have his team looser....But that is just an opinion from someone who usually has bad ones..."business" like approach can lead to nervous offense.....but im not second guessing saban just wanted to see what you all thought

That's what people mean when they say this is more CLM's wheelhouse than Sabans, and Bama fans freakout. Miles is a perfect coach for winning big road games IMO.

I think Miles is loose himself. The Oregon game is a prime example. He ran out of the tunnel and was running towards the wrong sideline, but he was all smiles and laughing about it. He had a huge grin on his face. That's just the way he is and the way he coaches.

He'd have to be with all the big nail-biters he coaches in. Most people couldn't handle that kind of job.

Saban's "business" approach has worked so far in every big game Bama has played in since he got there
win or lose- Bama has shown up ready to play in every one of these big matchups under Saban
Saban had the same approach vs Florida in '08 & '09, vs Texas in the NC game... vs VT and Clemson in the Atlanta Kickoff games... vs UGA in the blackout game... etc, etc, etc

you'll get flamed from your brethren, but both approaches are perfect for the situation. the business like approach has worked for bama since saban has come, so no reason to doubt it.
Miles's loose approach has obviously worked this year and the past.
I'll take either approach.
which reminds me, I remember when UF took that loose, fun approach into that NC game against Neb in 95 and got their asses beat.

Watched a interview with Sam Montgomery yesterday, and the team is not caught up in the hype. It's all business for them, and another game for them to prepare for. He said all the hype is coming from the fans, which I tend to agree.

This game will be good, bottom line. Approach doesn't mean jack shite if the team doesn't show up Nov 5.

Yeah there is no reason to think Saban won't have his team perfectly ready. You couldn't ask for a better coach in Bama's situation and you couldn't ask for a better coach in LSU's situation.

The Egg got it right. I don't think one approach is better than the other, I just think both approaches fit the teams they coach. LSU wouldnt respond to that business like approach IMO

I think Nov 5 leads to a three way tie in the west by the end of the season.

Saban had that same approach against AU last year, too.
I don't think it makes a big difference either way.

It's really hard to say which approach is better for this game- we will find out next week. But we all can say that both methods have worked beautifully up to this point!

'Bama stomped Arky. If LSU is capable of beating 'Bama in BDS then there is practically no way in hell they lose to Arky in Tiger Stadium.

I don't think we'll beat lsu this year but it isn't that simple. Bobby Petrino will probably be fielding a pretty good team when the hogs play lsu.
