Allan Berra was just on 97.3 The Zone and said this thing is not over. He thinks the facts will come out 5,6 or 70 years from now.

What a stupid waste of air he is.

Isn't he the guy who claimed on Finebaum last season that the back field of Ingram and Richardson was the greatest in the history of college football. I think he also said Lacey was the third best back in the league.

I was also wrong to doubt the Alabama Media, because obviously their lack of reporting on the situation surrounding Cam Newton was accurately assessed in determining there was no story.

Big bammer from Birmingham who made his career out of bilking bammers with books about the Bear and their 23 National Championships. My guess he was writing a book about the Cam Stuff to use as a backup for his book on #24 for bama incase they lose to LSU. He's mad.

Allen Barra is:

Born in Birmingham, Allen Barra is best known for his own column in the Wall Street Journal. He also writes for Salon.com and occasionally for the Village Voice. He is a frequent contributor to The New York Times.

WROTE THIS BOOK, YES HE IS A BIG BAMMER FAN:

The Last Coach, is without doubt the best biography of Paul "Bear" Bryant ever written. Barra is able to distill, without fear or favor, the crucial aspects of Bryant's personality. Barra upholds his status as the greatest football coach in the history of the game, but he does not flinch from discussing the less agreeable parts of his character.Through it all, Bryant's influence has not only endured but prevailed as his former players and assistants continue to define the best in not only college but professional football.

BUT THERE IS MORE:

Tickets are $39, and include a signed copy of the book and an audio CD of Coach Bryant's 65th Birthday Party. All proceeds benefit the University of Alabama Scholarship Fund.

Evans basic responses:
quote:

Thayer Evans: I'm really not surprised by the NCAA's decision. After all, it has no subpoena power. Therefore, I didn't expect much to turn up.
quote:

Thayer Evans: Remember, most cases the NCAA handles are self-reported.
quote:

Thayer Evans: It doesn't "find" much on its own. It usually has to follow up on media reports, etc.
quote:

Thayer Evans: Ryan, what I was "wrong" about? I wrote what happened. Didn't realize that was "wrong."
quote:

Thayer Evans: Remember, Cecil Newton Sr. still shopped his son to Mississippi State for $180,000.
quote:

Thayer Evans: Skeptic, that's just the NCAA's hot air for trying to cover up that it shouldn't have allowed Cam Newton to play in at least the SEC championship game.

It ends there....his denial even sucks
