How would you know that? You are a fricking clueless moron.

how do you know he will? i didn't say he couldn't but joe just doesn't give many people confidence that he can do it.

If so we need to go all Shembechler on him.
"We want an LSU man running our athletic department!"

It appears we may make the announcement with in the next 24 hours. Not positive it will be Alleva, but many believe he is the leader.

I'm not saying he is great or anything, but he did a god job getting Caldwell, and then we just got fricked over by the a-hole from Bama.
I just don't see how people can blame him for our subpar (for us) athletic season. And as far as ticket price raising and such, welcome to the real world.
shite, Skip is the one who started all that shite.

Baton Rouge - LSU Vice Chancellor and Athletics Director Joe Alleva is being considered for the athletic director's position at Tennessee, according to two Twitter reports.
Alex Anderson, a Knoxville, Tenn., sports radio talk show host on ESPN 1180 tweeted that a source said Tennessee had reached agreement on a deal, which would be announced this week. Alleva has been athletic director at LSU since 2008.
Gannett's Glenn Guilbeau tweeted that Parker Search Firm interviewed Alleva in North Carolina on behalf of Tennessee, according to a soucrce at Tennessee.
South Carolina AD Eric Hyman and SMU AD Steve Orsini were also reportedly being considered for the job to replace Mike Hamilton, who resigned in June amid NCAA investigations of the Volunteers football and men's basketball programs.

Just based off of what I read I'm not going to be blown away with him but I'm not going to hate him. Anything is a step up from Mike Hamilton.
I liked the SMU guy's resume..

There is nothing to hate, but some of his choices on coaches and ticket pricing might cause some frustration .
He had a pretty good compliance staff here, and it seems UT needs one right now

We're pretty used to ticket prices going up so that's nothing new.

That's definitely a good thing.

Wouldn't this be a step down for Alleva?

I'm not sure you will find a single LSU fan that would be the least bit disappointed if he accepted the AD position at UTk
This may be very similar to the Crowton to Maryland situation. As in leaving instead of being asked to leave.

No. He is a basketball guy. LSU was sort of a basketball school under Dale brown, but those days have passed
Posted on 7/26/11 at 3:54 pm to memphisplaya
Ok. I mean I always considered LSU to have a better athletic overall program than UTenn and wondered.

and i said that wasn't him that really raised the tickets and the parking stuff. That was more than likely something he couldn't really control, I do think the parking shite is stupid but i have no issue with ticket prices rising.
caldwell isn't a hire in a big time sport, and while we got fricked by the bama gay coach i didn't like him getting gun shy. He got fricked and then seems like we dropped way down the list.
As i said i wasn't blaming him for the subpar baseball and basketball, I doubt his handling of it. The way he gave trent a pass is a point i dont like. He really hasn't done much at all since being here.
