Roe Lach said whether an athlete knows of someone else taking an extra benefit has never been a violation and was "the most misunderstood issue surrounding the Cam Newton case." Added Emmert: "There's no evidence money ever changed hands. It was just solicitation, an unsuccessful solicitation.

LINK

This is hidden in an article about Agents, 7-7, etc... So for the folks hoping that Cam says he knew about his dad (See the bogus Moore tapes), it would not matter. Cam would still have been eligible.....

I do not see the NCAA coming back on Cam as the Prez continues to say they got it right....

There really wasn't "any evidence" in the Bush case either was there?

This was a dead issue last fall, it has been dead for months. For your health just move on and let the clueless argue.

Obviously, if Cam was a part of the solicitation (i.e. he knowingly went along with it) there was a violation. You aren't trying to read that to say otherwise are you?

You mean other than the house that his parents lived in that was paid for by an agent?

It was dead within the Auburn Family, but we continue to hear on forums, radio, etc. that IF CAM KNEW, Auburn will lose the BCSNC. The NCAA prez thought enough of it to AGAIN say something about it. I found that to be another positive statement and indication that we were right all along. This article was from this morning, so I posted it.

Doesn't matter, people don't understand that is as close as the NCAA will come to saying something is closed without saying "It's closed".

Haters gonna hate.

This has been known for months. Unfortunately, some tinfoilers have yet to be able to grasp this.

Ignore them. Why do you care what other people think?

Unfortunately, nobody cares. All they want to hear is "there are tapes" or "I will tweet something next week that will put the nail in the coffin for those dirty cheating bastards
