Couple of things stand out. Trent R. Is who we thought he was. I personally think Lacey looks like a FB, and wouldn't be suprised to see D Hart pass him later in the year.
I don't care how many times Saban has hit a homerun on secondary recruiting, KirkPatrick sucks. He sucked last year, and I hope he plays all year so he can give us an opportunity to score on you guys. "sucks" is probably too strong of a word. But he is far from a lockdown corner.
Sims is the better option at QB.

You must not be getting much attention in your life.

Mmmk . Or I like football and your teams spring game entertains me more than the NBa playoffs

I agree with most all of the OP, actually.

I agree with some of what he said. Kirkpatrick has been underwhelming so far. Milliner and Menzie are better corners IMO. Sims showed much more poise in the pocket in the second half of the A-Day game. McCarron didn't "pull away" from Sims in my white, non-racist opinion.

I have this weird feeling Sims is going to be yalls qb, am I off base on this?

Not at all....I also think PS will be the starter.

I just don't see where this Kirkpatrick sucks stuff comes from. He had 1 and a half bad game last year, and besides that, the ball was rarely thrown his direction. He had one ball caught on him in the spring game, and it was virtually undefendable. I saw PP7 get burnt more times in his first year starting than Dre did last year. Someone explain the hate to me?
Besides that, I agree OP.

Milliner? You mean the guy who got burned multiple times last year? Menzie may very well be better, but Milliner still has some growing up to do. Those of you who think Kirkpatrick sucks need to watch more game tape. People quit throwing at him towards the end of the year. I think a lot of you are going to be surprised at how good our secondary is this season.

Don't think Kirkpatrick sucks just that he hasn't lived up to the hype yet. Tremendous hype around him when he signed and he's shown progression and has the tools to be an elite corner, but hasn't lived up to that billing at this point.

He was the #1 rated corner coming out of high school, so if he doesn't bat down every pass, somebody's going to say he's overrated.

I think he will be the QB too, so I don't think you are off base at all. It appears - based on limited visible exposure to both players - that they have very nearly identical arm talent. I don't think there is a single throw that one of the two can make that the other can't. They also appear to have similar grasp of the offense.
If everything else is equal, I would look at who is going to take more negative plays. McCarron took several "sacks" in the spring game. Sim took maybe 1 or 2. He seemed to move in the pocket a bit better in order to make throws downfield. Sims looked better with the 1st team O to me than AJ did.

Dre gets the cover of having an exceptionally good pass rush to play behind. He plays a lot like Hatcher did for us. Like a chicken with his head cut off.

Can you tell me, precisely, which game he played behind what any objective observer would call an "exceptionally good pass rush"? I've not seen us have this type of pass rush in a while so if it has happened there are several people I've dog cussed for not getting off blocks that I need to apologize to.

What? Pass rush was one of the weak points of Bama's D.
