I missed Saban's reaction. I want to see the expression on his face after the pick was announced.

I don't but he was shaking his head in disbelief. It was like he was pissed they took him before Ingram.

I don't know if seems like this to anyone else, but to me it's pretty damn obvious that Ingram is Saban's favorite player...

He looked pleasantly surprised if you ask me.

This.

I don't think he was disappointed, just surprised. (who wasn't?)

Saban should be embarrassed.

That's as douchey, and I mean as douchey, as it gets.

I believe most had him as a late second rounder. I think everyone was surprised. I sure as hell was.

Pleasantly isn't the first word that comes to mind watching that.

It's like the Academy Awards, or the Grammys. Even if you don't win, act genuinely happy for the guy who does. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU'RE HIS COACH. Why should we even have to be talkinga bout this? He should have been congratulating him/smiling and calling him up, not moaping in the corner with Ingram.

Unreal

Hell, I had the exact same reaction...who didn't? But at the end of the day, I'm glad for him and for the extra exposure for the University, putting another lineman into the NFL in the first round.

I guess im seeing something diffrent. I didnt think it was a bad reaction. Surprised? Sure, but not in a disappointed way. IMO. Ingram in fact is a more shocked reaction. Lol

are we even sure that was the very exact moment Saban found out about it. I'm pretty sure everyone in the room finds out before a camera catches them and definitely before Goodell announces it. I mean if he found out a minute or 2 earlier, what's he supposed to do, stay standing and clapping until the camera finds him?

Carpenter was one of the guys who made huge gains during the Senior Bowl week...he is going to switch to guard in the NFL.
