The quote below is one mans opinion,I didn't write it. It's up for debate, chime in.
At Auburn, you are a tool to help Auburn. The goal is for Auburn to win, that's it. There is no effort put into preparing you for the next level, and there is no effort put into developing you as a man. As far as they're concerned, you are theirs for 4 yrs(to play football) and then you are of no further value.
At Alabama, the goal is for Alabama to win. The difference is that the goal is also to help YOU win. Nick Saban has constructed a machine here that is built to squeeze every ounce of potential out of guys both on the field and off. Most importantly, player and character development are emphasized every day and that includes preparing you for transitioning to the NFL.
Want proof? Go watch the HBO special and listen to those former AU players and then listen to Rolando McClains speech from Saturday. Listen to NFL exec's coaches and scouts drool over Bama and laugh at Auburn like the joke that the world knows they are. Watch the NFL draft next week and listen to the way Bama players are praised vs. all the questions and concerns about AU players especially in terms of character.

Um, that was four former players. It's not like there were 60-100 guys making similar accusations.

Why couldn't we reference the players who complained about getting medical schollys who said they could still play? Why can't we compare them to the "HBO 4"? Let's compare apples to apples...

Who wrote that? Does he have any particular insight into both programs? I don't buy the premise btw. You can find disgruntled players from any team and you can find happy players from any team. Cam & Fairly don't seem to feel AU is only about AU.
You get out of a college football experience what you put into it. If you work hard, do the right things, and follow the rules you will generally like your experience. If you add winning to that mix you will likely love your experience.
I think AU has some issues, no doubt, but I don't agree with this characterization of the entire program. AU could remove 4-5 people from the program (permanently) and be a MUCH better place than they are today.
