Wishful thinking on Updyke,LoL,but your right,I got it from another fan and posted it. Work is a tad boring at moment,so I thought I'd stir things up a tad. BTW,how in the hell did you ever figure out I was a Bama Fan,LoL

Yea that was too delusional to come from anyone but an Updyke.

Difference between Bama and Auburn Football Players

The quote below is one mans opinion,I didn't write it. It's up for debate, chime in.
At Auburn, you are a tool to help Auburn. The goal is for Auburn to win, that's it. There is no effort put into preparing you for the next level, and there is no effort put into developing you as a man. As far as they're concerned, you are theirs for 4 yrs(to play football) and then you are of no further value.
At Alabama, the goal is for Alabama to win. The difference is that the goal is also to help YOU win. Nick Saban has constructed a machine here that is built to squeeze every ounce of potential out of guys both on the field and off. Most importantly, player and character development are emphasized every day and that includes preparing you for transitioning to the NFL.
Want proof? Go watch the HBO special and listen to those former AU players and then listen to Rolando McClains speech from Saturday. Listen to NFL exec's coaches and scouts drool over Bama and laugh at Auburn like the joke that the world knows they are. Watch the NFL draft next week and listen to the way Bama players are praised vs. all the questions and concerns about AU players especially in terms of character.

Not arguing anything, and not accusing, just wanted some opinions on what ya'll felt about him being allowed back in the family. I mean, that would be like us letting Logan Young come back (if he was living) after what he did

Since we're talking auburn here also,I have a question for auburn lovers. Everyone knows Dye helped Ramsey out.It was on tape, there is no arguing that. Having said that, how many of you SERIOUSLY think Dye is playing it by the book, now that he is back in the PICTURE on campus. No flame intended,if you answer honestly
Dont really have an answer, but do you have any evidence one way or another? just because someone commits a crime, does that mean they cannot stop? I am not saying he or AU is or not doing anything currently. But most of the arguments, like your reference, are that because he was a cheat, he is still cheating. Thats not a very sound argument.

Players never have grade issues at bama. Such a fine school that can just turn a dumb kid into a honor student. how they do it is beyond my inadequate mental capacity.
Ask some of the auburn fans how they do it :rotflmao:

re: Bama loses 2 games this season
Posted by krimsun58 on 4/17/11 at 1:29 pm to Bench McElroy
Are you kidding me? Greg McElroy was terrible. Tee Martin was turnover prone and mediocre at best. Flynn wasn't that great either. And how good two of those teams will be remains to be seen. LSU struggled because their QB situation was historically bad, even much worse than it is now. I can't speak for Tennessee's behalf but I can't imagine the departure of Tee freaking Martin caused them to lose four games. Hell, they lost three games the year before despite having the 11th ranked total defense and 7th ranked scoring defense in the country.
GM was NOT terrible.I bet you weren't screaming that while he was killing the gators, and managing the title game with bad ribs, and breaking passing records. If he was terrible, what were Brodie,JPW,Tyler, and so on?

I agree,LSU will be our toughest game, even at home. They're solid if not spectacular. While I think our Defense will play solid against them, they have the edge at QB position, experience. Will be the game of the year!
For those that think Bama loses 4 games, your stupid. That must mean awburn will lose at least 6,losing the personnel they lost.

The Alabama fanbase's idolatry of coaches is "unique" to say the least.
The Auburn Fanbase's Idolatry to be like Alabama is "Unique" as well
No means No Zach!!!

He has had quite the run lately. How rare is it to have the two most coveted coaches in all of America? Mal used to be under a lot of criticism and he has responded with the two best hires in a long time in college athletics.
If you really believe that then I pity you..... No wait, I really don't give a frick, but that is pretty insulting to the top coaches in the nation.
I miss when Bama fans didn't care about basketball. You guys were so much more tolerable. Now you have a little success and you think you own the world.
Open your fricking eyes and realize that Self, Williams, K, Cal, Donavon, and Izzo would not only recruit, but coach circles around grant.
FYI,many of us love bama roundball, just don't run our mouth off about it. I'd be willing to bet that if lsu was having a great year, their fans would be starting threads just like this one. Your also right about the mentioned coaches being better than grant, because they SHOULD be obviously. Having said that, watch out for bama basketball when we get a little more talent.

I didn't include FSU,as I did not see them play last year. They've had a great recruiting class, but think they're still a couple years away from competing,if JF is worth his salt

I dont believe a SEC team will make it this year. OU, TCU or Oregon.
If any SEC team slips, no way they get a chance. The cards will be stacked against the SEC this year.
Good observation, the way we beat up on each other, very possible

2.LSU- Talent EVERYWHERE,just make the right calls.
You know, its interesting, but it isn't like LSU has had #1 recruiting classes every year or anything. Hmmm. Maybe that talent is getting developed and coached properly. Maybe, just maybe, something good is happening at LSU besides talent just falling out of the trees.
#1 recruiting classes certainly help, but they still have to be coached up as we all know.Still, lsu has been in what?,top 5-10 since Les took over? Just taking a stab there without looking it up. While I think he has been the recipient of some good fortune, he is obviously doing something right

1.Oklahoma Returning personnel on both sides of ball.
2.LSU- Talent EVERYWHERE,just make the right calls.
3.Bama-Defense, and manager at qb,good RB depth.
4.Stanford,Returning,Luck, and personnel, probable heisman winner, even though Harborough is gone.
Again,it's jmo. If oregon can play for all the marbles,so can stanford.. Name your top 4 to contend
