B and it`s not even close. I`m as big a Bama football fan as there is on this board. I`ve been to probably 80% of Bama`s home games the last 20 years, the 2000 UCLA game in Pasadena, and a handful of Bama bowl games. I badly wanted to make it to the 2009 nat`l title game in Pasadena but couldn`t make it happen. Having said that, I`m a HUGE Bama basketball fan since a very young kid in the early 80s. My family had very good season tickets when I was little because my uncle AND great uncle were well known former Alabama basketball players. My brother and I and a couple of our buddies are on record as saying WE WILL get together and drop everything to drive/fly to the sute of the Final 4 if Bama ever makes it there. That`s why a Bama title in basketball and baseball in the same year would be so worth a non title year in football. My brother, our college friends, and I are such big Alabama fans that we`d rather see basketball and baseball titles in the same year than a football title. We`ve seen 2 football titles in person and have been alive for for even more. I`m ready for a basketball and a baseball national title

I would have to say football, and not because I have "bama envy". I'd hate to claim a national title after going 9-3 in a season('41 20th in AP Poll). That's embarrassing.

I'd want basketball and baseball.
We don't have a baseball yet and the basketball tournament is just plain awesome to win unless you are Kentucky and cheat to get there.

I would take a football champ. and never care about winning another basketball or baseball game again. Baseball if a fun sport and all but it cannot even compare with football. Basketball is by far the most boring sport of the year so it really doesnt even count as part of this convo.

Hard to believe a MSU guy could make that statement. Most schools in the SEC, Big 12, ACC and Pac 12 do care about baseball. Every one of those schools has their share of fans who don't follow baseball but that doesn't change the fact that more and more schools are gearing up now that ESPN has ponied up for the TV contract which includes regular season baseball.
I wasn't saying that I didn't care about baseball. I effin love it. Best sporting event I've ever been to was when we won our last super regional, set a two game attendance record, and rushed the field. That's my favorite place in America probably.

I don't know if you were trying to flame, but I honesty don't see why Alabama claims that title. It's not like they're Kentucky who has to resort to ridiculous claims like their 1950 title. I just don't see why a program with so many legitimate titles would want to claim a championship like 1941.
What confuses me even more is why they would claim that title over 1945 or 1966. Whoever decided to claim that one must have been on the team.
But what may be the most confusing part of the whole situation is what on earth led a mathematical system to rank Bama number 1 that year.

B. Easily...and you wouldn't even have to throw baseball in the mix.
Id much rather see Bama win a NC in basketball than football...I've seen the football championship in person so I would damn near frick my sister to see Bama make, and win a Final Four.
