Which fanbase did it hurt the most: Bama fans or Oregon fans ? I say the Oregon fans are over it already, while the bama fans will feel the pain for years.

We will feel the pain for years over Auburn winning it's first national championship since 1957? It stung that night, but is it really that big of a deal?

All memories of pain will quickly vanish, if anything comes of the Cam situation, btw.

In the end, I suspect it will hurt Auburn fans the most. Reaching the pinnacle, to only have it tainted in the end, when it's all over.

I'm long past over it. If we win tonight against South Carolina and go 2-0 in conference we're officially a basketball school.

It hurt me the most because you'll keep posting here and making the Auburn fanbase look even worse.

Agreed...if the NCAA eventually takes it all away, the experience of joy will be much greater than the feelings of sorrow at aubie winning the bcscg.

Here's hoping to NCAA sanctions.

It's your 1st NC in 53 (FIFTY-THREE)years, and according to many media outlets, it is yet to be determined if you'll be able to actually keep the damn thing.

Why would it hurt Bama fans? We won it the year before and have several more. Most of us honestly don't give a shite that auburn won

Why would it hurt Alabama fans? They won a national championship only a year ago.

Is the best thing about winning a BCS is hoping it upsets your rival...???

To quote a very good commercial... "Why don't we walk over to namby-pamby land and get some self-confidence for you, you jack-wagon!"

But to answer your question...when I saw Oregon's QB smiling and laughing on the sideline as the clock was ticking down that it did not mean the same thing to him at least as it did to most others.

Oregon fans spent months looking at stats, head to head matchups, etc. etc.

They had to have been under the impression there was NO WAY yall could stop their offense

Your joy will turn to sorrow then anger in the months to come. 14-0 to 0-14. You reap what you sow...just sayin

I can't speak for anyone but myself but IF it did get tainted, I'd still rather them have went all the way like they did on the field. Of course I wouldn't like it being taken away but it's like the saying "better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all".

Why would it hurt me? I'm happy for all of my many AU friends, i'm not that selfish. We won one last year, its not as big of a deal as you think.

Your fanbase is tough for me. Some of the AU posters are some of the best on the board and fun to interact with.

Some are just terrible. Hmmm. Did I just describe every fanbase?
