Why do people bash him for being a poor coach? A great head coach hires great people around him and that is what Chizik has done given the chance at Auburn. What makes him different from Meyer, Stoops or Mack Brown? They all went out and hired great people and won with them there but got the credit.

I would put Saban out of that group due to him winning with several different coordinators but he still hires the guys he wants.

So why all the hate for Chizik?

5-19 to start his head coaching career. Auburn fans booing and going nuts over his hire.

At Iowa State though. Decent competition with a low roof for success. That would be like Vandy being your first gig, odds are that you won't succeed and will look rough after a couple seasons.

But yeah, a lot of douchebags went ballistic when he was first hired instead of thinking for a minute about it.

Honestly, I won't be the least bit scared of him when Newton leaves.

He was at AU before, so that tells me he knew/knows whats going on in the past/present/future at AU. Some of the things he's said about cammmypu just makes you sick. I have no respect for anyone like that.

Chiziks success is s direct correlation to cam newton. Without him chiz would be out of s job by next year.

Urban won at Utah first.

Never been impressed with Mack. Anyone could win and recruit at Texas. If anything Mack has held them back.

What has he done besides win a bowl game, beat Texas for the first time ever, and beat Nebraska?

I think it is that he has just been exposed as only being a figurehead of the program. Gus is a better coach and everyone knows it. Gene is just acting like he is in chargewhen actually he is just doing what he is told to do.

GC is Pat Dye and bobby Lowders frick boy and it is sad really.

His replacement is doing just fine.

And a lot of it does have to do with the assistants that you hire. You're just not supposed to hire qbs.

Talent can hide coaching deficiencies. And sometimes for a long, long time.

Trust me on this one.

Bc he is winning because of Newton and Malzahn. Both will be gone next season. All preseason publications have already picked Auburn to finish no better than 4th in the west next season.

Because y'all make him out to be a great coach... He isn't. He got a gift of an athlete; to whom he owes all of his credit to.
