without Auburn knowing about it? No trying to flame. I got this information from Bamamag. Someone over there is claiming that WSFA out of Montgomery, Alabama reported this today.

FWIW coaches do that all the time to get the title of "Good interviewer"

Chizik knows he is interviewing at multiple spots, he has already said he is all for his assistants progressing in their careers.

I do think that article goes a little overboard on this statement:
Malzahn appears to be good, but it's way too early in his college career to be making statements about him like the one above.
quote:
Should Vanderbilt thread the eye of the needle tomorrow, the hiring of perhaps the single most talked about offensive mind of the last decade would not just make waves. It would make a tidal wave. No, make that a monsoon. You simply cannot overstate how big this would be for Vanderbilt football.

Why is this? Vandy making this type of offer to a coach speaks volumes about the direction they are wanting their football team to take...Its not just that they are going after Malzahn but the agressiveness they are showing in do so.

FWIW, this rumor was started on a Vandy message board of all places. Malzahn didn't go behind Chizik's back to do anything. Chizik is in full support of Malzahn getting a head coaching job somewhere, but probably is lobbying that he wait till a better offer than Vandy comes up.

I think the vandy job would be good for him, the misdirection plays and such mean that his offense doesn't require the best players on the field. This does speak volumes about vandy and their new found dedication to winning games, god help us if those brainiacs ever figure out what it takes.

Cecil Newton was the only one who knew Gus was interviewing with Vandy. Cam had no idea.

Anybody know Kiehl Frazier's ACT score?
I wonder if he can get accepted to Vandy.
