As much as I dislike Auburn, albeit considerably less than Alabama, I have to give props to them on their 12-0 season regardless of what went on with the Cam Newton deal. Gene Chizik came out of nowhere and has established himself this year as yet another coach and force in the SEC to be reckoned with. After last year's dominance by Bama, I really thought along with many others that Auburn was on the way down and wouldn't be able to compete with Bama anymore....major fail.

There is no way Gene Cheesedick could go 5-19 in the Big-Freakin'-12, then come into the SEC and go 20-5 without SOME kind of shenanigans going on. Requires way too much suspension of disbelief and/or logic.

Yeah because all of the 440 yards against LSU were because of the shenanigans.

Usually, I'm for the SEC in terms of national champions as I was for Alabama last year. They went about their business and were just a damn good team. I just cannot not support a team that I know cheated. I'm sorry.

W/ 217 of those coming from a bought-and-paid for QB. And if Cam got paid, you can bet there were others.

Wow, you guys all "know" that Auburn cheated....guess you know something that the NCAA doesn't, eh? I'm kinda glad they didn't find anything...the guy is a super athlete and has won on the field at least, fair and square. We had our chances and couldn't slow him down. Do you really think we would be 12-0 with Cam Newton at this point? Crowton and company would have found a way to offset this guy's skills...heck, Miles may have benched him in favor of his love boy, Jefferson!

This thread didn`t go the way the OP had hoped. Frick the lucky, cheating, self righteous bastards. And frick Mike Slive and the NCAA and their insulting disingenuous explanation treating everyone like they are complete morons and their talking down to anyone who criticized the ruling

No Nortizzle. The problem is that the NCAA requires practically all schools ti sit players if it`s possible that they may have taken a stick of gum. The NCAA doesn`t so much as sit a player for a quarter when his father commits an obvious NCAA infractiion. Even worse the NCAA and SEC have the gall to say that not only did Auburn not have knowledge of a violation until this week, they didn`t have knowledge that there COULD HAVE been a violation committed until this week.. This despite numerous public reports about Auburn being informed in July. Auburn did NOTHING to properly reinstate Newton that we know about publically at least and amazingly the NCAA is letting this slide when they`ve killed other schools for much less.

C'mon guys...we lost, they won. The old "you cheated" line after losing is a pitiful excuse. If something wrong was done it should and probably will come out at some future time. For now we didn't do what was needed on the field to be in Auburn's position.
