Was fired. He also played "Son of a Preacher Man" and "Living on a Prayer." All three songs happened back-to-back-to-back.

Well that is dumb. Why fire someone who was simply taking a jab at your biggest rival?

I thought it was pretty funny, tbh.

I'd hire him at death valley (though I don't like piped in music). Sounds like a pretty cool dude.

Getting fired may be a little much.

Well, the hotel employee that was calling for people to storm the floors Alabama players were staying on prior to last year's IB was fired.

In other news, the in-house media assistant for War Memorial who played Pour some Sugar On Me received a 6% cost of living raise.

The two things are slightly different. One is harmless and funny, the other... not so much.

Sounds like something I would do...

pretty funny, but he was only a part-timer...sucks if he screwed up his chance at a more permanent job within the athletic department/stadium operations.

If anything, he deserves a raise.

Guy shouldn't have been fired.

Not something worthy of firing someone over, the media made a big deal of it.

He should have been promoted.

I do not see a problem in firing him. I actually think better of UA for doing so.
It was an immature petty thing to do that reflected poorly on the University of Alabama who is his employer. When you make your employer look bad and embarrass them intentionally (he chose the music), getting fired usually follows.
