than he did vs. Alabama?

Mallett seems to be scared shitless when he's blitzed and LSU has been blitzing little old women all year.

How will he handle this defense this weekend?

Does he throw passes up in the air my grandmother can intercept like he did vs. Alabama?

His INT's looked worse than JLee's throwing off his back foot when he is scared.

I don't think so. I think with Arky finding a RB that they'll try to take the load off him a little bit more. Arkansas should have been running the ball late versus Bama instead of launching picks.

Try?

What is untrue about it? Was the Alabama game not the biggest choke job you've ever seen?

I'm looking forward to all 6'7" of Mallett being SMOTHERED by 5'10" Tyran Mathieu.

...it wasn't a "try". Mallet choked against Bama. Fact.

I do believe Davis will ease the pass rush a bit, but where it took MSU a bit by surprise, the cats out the bag and Chavis will account for him.

What a ridiculous homer. It's funny that everyone else in the country saw that meltdown except Pig fans.

So it wasn't a choke job, just a little cough that lost the game?

Never said Mallett didnt choke. It wasnt the worst choke job I have ever witnessed though.
I was speaking in reference to the inflammatory way he posed the question.
I'll take my chances wioth Mallet and Petrino vs. Jefferson and Miles all day though.

Arkansas rushed the ball 20 times that game....

So what was that? Playcalling? Arkansas' inability to run against teams with a defense?

The cat was out of the bag before the MSU game. Davis had 7.2 ypc and had several 100 yard rushing games before the MSU game.

Take it how you want, but the choke job is fact. Not a jab. He buckles under pressure, does he not?

The INT he threw vs. Miss St. this weekend was when he was under pressure and he just tossed it. He loses his composure way too easily.

I don't think so... I think the WR screwed up. But yes, he did get a little uncomfortable in the game... he made up for it.

Several things:

1. We have a new OL coach so it may have taken time for the OL to learn his blocking schemes.

2. We have two freshmen starting on OL so it may have taken time for them to get up to speed.

3. Dennis Johnson had just gotten injured, further complicating our RB rotation. We were playing RB by committee early in the season, since no RB had emerged as the top back.

4. Mallett missed all of spring practice due to his broken foot, so the vast majority of fall practice reps went to him. Consequently, the rushing game got fewer reps and took longer to gel.

Knile Davis didn't emerge as the top back until about five or six weeks into the season and I don't think our OL was that good at blocking early on. Part of the problem was lack of practice reps and lack of runs being called in games, but I think that was a consequence of Mallett's injury and having to get him reps in the fall.

Since Knile Davis emerged as the lead RB, and since our OL has gotten more experience, we have proven that we can run against very good defenses. South Carolina has the top rushing defense, but KD still ran for over 100 yards and 3 TDs. MSU also has a good rushing defense, and he ran for 187 yards and 2 TDs.

Will we be able to run against LSU? I don't know, but I really like our chances. We have a balanced offense now so hopefully we can keep the pressure off of Mallett and set up the play-action pass.
