Should have gone to Texas. Texas owned Arkansas in the SWC days...

Pretty sure Bama holds both the AP and Coaches trophies from that season

What a fail. Why would you question something that never happened?

That was the year that Bama lost the bowl game, yet still won the AP right?

WE ARE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

Bama was beaten in the bowl by Texas, who finished with one loss.
That one loss was to Arkansas who finished as the lone undefeated team that season.

at the end of all the games bama had a loss and we didn't, were claiming that shite and we got some banners to prove it.

Irrelevant to winning a Championship in 1964.
Glorified scrimmages basically...

And voted #1 by some obscure poll that nobody but Arkansas recognizes.

I don't believe college football has ever had a true national champion and won't have one until there is a playoff.

if by one.. you mean about 7...
Not to mention the AP thought it was such BS that they changed their procedure to vote AFTER the bowl games the next season.

Yet voted before the bowl games again in 1966, before making the vote after the bowls permanent in 1967. Why does this matter? Because the process that denied them a title in 1964, would have given them one in 1965, had the changes not been made.

We've got a banner for the 41 season but that title is BS.
We were awarded the championship by the AP and Coaches so y'all have no claim at that trophy. Bowls back then were done as an exibition game and didn't count for shite.

Translation: Y'all got screwed and Bama owns the 1964 title outright.

There's never been a legit champion so it's irrellevant.

Someone could claim that all records before integration are illegitimate.
Of course, in college football, there's never been a true National Champion.
