This is my first post here (I've lurked for a while) so I'm gonna cover a couple things in this, mainly the Georgia game and Camgate. Been thinking about making this post since the media broke the story a week ago, and the UGA game pushed me over the edge. Wall o' Text inc.
What happened at the Georgia game was completely inexcusable, in my opinion. Fairley played really dirty (though I personally believe that the knee shot was uninentional) as he has been all season, and something needs to happen. That being said, there was poor sportsmanship on both sides of the ball, on a level that I've never seen in this rivalry since I started going to the games in '05. I, along with many other Auburn and Georgia fans, I'm sure, had always thought of this as a very friendly rivalry, but I'm afraid that last night may have changed that for a very long time - similar to the "Cigar Game" in 1999 for LSU.
As for Camgate, I have seen the writing on the wall for a while and am scared to death for what is going to be coming for us. It sounds like, with the FBI involved, that they are going through ALL of our recruiting, not just the recruiting of Newton, and if that's the case then we're going to be looking at some very serious, almost SMU-caliber sanctions on the program. I've had a bad feeling about this since I heard about the rumors back in February, and can wholeheartedly say that right now it is NOT great to be an Auburn Tiger.
If all this turns out to be true, then we absolutely and completely deserve every bit of punishment that we get, and hopefully something will be done to get certain boosters out of control of our (AU fans) beloved football program. This also doesn't bode well for the rest of the SEC, or college football in general, because it looks to me like Auburn is just the beginning.
Just my two cents. Take it for what it's worth.

Great post. I wish we had more AU fans like you, instead of the delusional morons that currently roam the board.

1. Cliff notes
2. I am not buying you being an Auburn fan
3. If this is an attempt to make posters from other teams like you, FAIL. IF you are an AU fan, prepare for the hatred.

USC caliber sanctions is the worst case scenario these days.
I agree with the rest of your post though. It's certainly not looking promising. The chances of getting away completely clean is well under 1%.
Welcome to the board. Glad to have you apart of the Auburn fanbase here

2. Ignore the smartass comments from the alter sniffers. If you are an alter (and I don't think you are), admins will find out sooner or later.
3. Solid post, but ...
4. You need more in your subject line than "Auburn."

1. AU football program is being run into the ground kthxbai
2. Born and raised in Lee County, AL. If you don't believe me, I really don't care.
3. Just getting my thoughts out there. I plan on posting regularly, and figured this was a better way to start than just popping up in some random thread.
And it's food time now, I'll bbl

Welcome to the board.
It's refreshing to see an Auburn fan not defending Fairley.

Welcome and thanks for approaching last night objectively
You seem to have a bright future ahead of you here at TD, don't let some of the fringe crowd dilute you. Oh, and just look but don't touch the OT. Not yet anyway
