running out of gas is playing 10 straight weeks after a hurricane.
It's too early in the season to be running out of gas with non conference games against the likes of Duke, Penn St and San Jose St.

I like how you left out the 3 game stretch of Arkansas, Florida, and South Carolina. You didn't mean to do that did you?
ETA: I'm not making excuses for why we lost. South Carolina beat us. I was just point out our 3 game stretch was harder than the OOC games

Bad coaching if you run out of gas after 6 weeks.

It's the damn SEC. All teams will have tough stretches.

He said that?
What a Saban apologist he is. Bama played like crap, and they have shown, they are capable of doing that see Arky). But they are very deep, and running out of gas, had nothing to do with that.

So after 3 games they ran out of gas? Well at least Auburn has a GREAT excuse if we lose before the Bama game...SWEET!

Dude, everyone in the SEC has a stretch of games back to back against good teams. If you run out of gas at the end of a THREE game stretch something's wrong.

Finebaum is a tard...
South Carolina was prepared, played tough, and beat us straight up. There is no "excuse" you can manufacture...

And the sad part is, it's almost a one hundred percent certainty that it'll be used... if you lose.

If you beat your chest about going undefeated in the SEC regular season for the past two years, you can't whine about running out of gas over your SEC schedule this year. Sorry.

A physical game against Florida took something out of Alabama - Florida always has the most talent out of all the east teams on a consistent basis. At least Bama doesn't have to play them every year in the middle of the schedule.
If LSU had to play Auburn this week it would suck and LSU saw that back in 2007 having to go on the road after a tough game against Florida.
It is tough, life in the SEC, that's why Boise St and TCU and Utah couldn't do it week in week out.

If we ran out of gas, it's because we didn't gas up and not because we gave it all we had and we just ran out of gas. We got beat because on that given day USC was better than us. I don't know we seemed to give up, but we did and we got beat. They beat us, and we also beat ourselves, and it had nothing to do with running our of gas.
Finebaum does not need to be the spokesperson for Bama football. He knows nothing about the game, and it just grips me that he even goes to our games. It's a shame that he gets a free pass to all of these games that he wants to go to, and he doesn't even understand the game. He reminds me of women that attend games to see and be seen.

Mostly this
USC just played better than Bama last Saturday
Granted it was the third straight quality opponent - but sometimes you just don't show up with your A game and you get beaten
I'm not sure Bama has played their A game yet this year - against Florida maybe

If Finebaum had said the obvious, that USC simply played better and beat BAMA then no one would have gotten upset. He keps the BAMA fans happy for now and irritates the rest of you. Your simple mind is being manipulated by the man and you cant even see it. This is why his show is so successful. He quitly swings back and forth playing off whichever fan base is the most insecure at the moment so the others can laugh and enjoy. Trust me, when Nick Saban's time at BAMA has run it's course Finebaum will snatch the rug for his own benifit. I love his show, but I also see through what he does.

Saban was forced to trust his young guys in man coverage. South Carolina was able to run the ball, and showed that they would even do it from the QB position.
When Saban didn't have the horses his first year at Bama, you didn't see him putting those guys on an island. The way to beat Saban is over the top, and you need a guy like Alshon Jeffery.
Saban's guys will get away with everything short of rape when they're out there in man coverage. It comes with the reputation. Much like certain hitters get the benefit of the doubt in MLB on balls and strikes.
If the QB is not accurate, the receiver is unable to overcome the pulling and contact involved, it's a very tough day to beat a Saban defense. I witnessed Georgia do it in '04 with Greene and a couple of NFL wideouts. Once they torched us deep against both of our NFL caliber corners, their running game took over, and they abused our LDE with their All-American tackle the rest of the day.
When Bama grows up in the secondary as the season progresses, it's going to take a Garcia-Jeffery type performance to beat them, for sure.
