What does South Carolina have to do to beat Alabama?

Keys to the game
Stop the Bama run?
Force McElroy to lose the game?
Offensively, what is SC's best chance of moving the ball?

Not throw int's, don't turn it over in the red zone, offensive play calling innovation...
They can beat Bama if they don't beat themselves.

They should have the best running attack Bama's faced all season.

FORCE TURNOVERS and in return DO NOT TURN THE BALL OVER. If they manage to do that, they win the ball game.

Spurrier's has to get Alshon in single coverage downfield for quick strikes. They're not going to have 12-13 play drives and be successful much. The longer the drive goes, the longer Garcia has to pull a Garcia.

Score more points than Alabama

The obvious things:
1. Play mistake free football.
2. Good plays on first down -- no lost yardage.
3. Play good field position with special teams.
4. Keep the crowd in the game.
Defensively, USC has to limit the run. Bama will try to repeat Ingram's Heisman winning performance from last year. If they do, Bama wins going away.
Offensively, USC has to control time of possession and keep moving the chains -- and hit a few deep ones. Plus no turnovers.
Bottom line is we have to avoid the two killers of last year: opening the game with a pick-6 and giving up 200+ yards to one running back.
It will be interesting to see how USC's offense does. Despite the lack of rushing success, Spurrier called one of his best games against Auburn. He had it going on with the passing game. If he adapts that well to Alabama's defense, we have a puncher's chance. We just have to get a better defensive plan and execution than what we did against Auburn.

USCe:
Crowd noise
Pound Lattimore
Make the QB manage the game instead of win it
I think if they put too much on the QB, then they're screwed. I think if they can come in with a crowd like Arkansas and establish the run, then it will be a good game. I think if they give up on the run, then they'll get destroyed.

Score 1 or more points than we do.
But seriously...I think a big thing is for Spurrier to be consistent in his QB choice. Switching Garcia in and out will lead to a loss.

Trick McElroy, Ingram, and Jones into not playing by offering them a free trip to Disneyworld instead?

1. No costly errors (TOs/fumbles, bad clock management)
2. Force McElroy to beat us throwing
3. Keep up the MO in the passing game
4. Step it up on special teams, force Bama into bad field position
If all these things happen (a few obvious, I know) then we could walk away with the biggest upset of the year (thus far).
