re: With the news of CU potentially going after Les

You don't think the Michigan job is his for the taking? Especially if Michigan crashes down the stretch. Do LSU fans really want to go through that shite again?...

Who would LSU throw the money at to lure?
Muschamp? Peterson? Patterson?
Which big name coach would leap at the LSU job? It might not be as many as you think. Hell, Alabama got snubbed for West Virginia. We offered more money and a better everything. Sometimes, that still isn't enoug...

When did I refuse to give LSU credit for hiring Saban? My comment had more to do with not taking LSU seriously until they rid their program of Les....

See, we're in agreement here hbT. His wins were against an SEC that wasn't that strong.
Still, you can't possibly compare him to Mike Shula.
I wasn't calling for Shula to be fired. Of course the excitement of the search was great, but we nearly ended up without a top tier coach. Without...

Yes. Find another Saban and hire him. Good luck with that....

Comparing Shula to a coach who's 58-16 is irresponsible, no matter how goofy Miles is.
Content with 9-3? No. But is a new coach going to take LSU back to the top immediately? If he can't, how long before LSU fans say fire him?...

Against the meh's since 2008: 1-3
Plus the clock debacle. Plus the Tennessee game. Plus the fact that the other lower tier SEC team, he should have lost to in 2009.
Why am I supposed to take this program seriously until they prove they can hire a real coach?...

I'm sorry that you consider that homerish. But with Les Miles vs. the field, it's hard for me to really take LSU seriously. This isn't the same guy who won countless close games in the beginning.
I won't take away LSU's wins or titles, but the changes around the conference have certainly cont...

What is homerish about saying it's harder for LSU to compete now that the SEC is tougher? The lack of signature wins and dissatisfaction with Miles' results (are lack thereof) seems to support my belief....

Solid response. Did I not state clear fact? Care to respond or will you concede that the SEC west is tougher and stronger now than it was when LSU was on top?...

You ever think the SEC West was just terrible in LSU's reign?
Alabama-struggling with sanctions and Shula.
Arkansas-good every few years, but never a real threat.
Auburn-legit.
Ole Miss-Coach O
Mississippi State-Croom
Now?
Alabama-Saban
Arkansas-Petrino and Mallet
Auburn-Gus, Chiz, a...

Because you act like LSU should be a consistent power. Outside of the Saban/post Saban years at LSU, LSU hasn't been consistent enough for many to view them as an annual power....

Both Belle and myself have all of our teeth. My sister, brother, mother, and father have all of their teeth. We had braces as kids, but our dental past is being dramatically blown out of proportion.
