Yeah and look at DB and look our DB class

That's fine, but Bammers cant dismiss Au's class by saying they're only offering early playing time when Saban is out there doing the samething.

The rcruiting that Chizik has done this year has impressed me.

Do I think their class this year is better than ours though? No I don't.

LaDarius Owens is the only player of note that they have gotten on Defense. The rest are offensive players. Offense was not where they struggled this year. 5 star OL Shon Coleman was very interested in coming to Bama but our staff has J. Stone and A. Kouandjio rated above him on our board.

We needed DB's this year so we went out and got the #2 and #4 rated CB's in the country in Millliner and Fulton. We needed pass rushers so we got Alfy Hill and CJ Mosely. I will take Philip Sims over C. Newton any day with the question marks surrounding that kid, and the lost year of eligibility. I will take Keenan Allen and DeAndrew White over Trovon Reed and Antonio Goodwin as well. I saw a HS football game every week in Louisiana this year and Trovon wouldn't make my top 5 players I saw this year.

So my point being, I will admit that I am impressed with what Chizik has done in recruiting this year but where we are more recruiting positions of need, it seems they have gone for stars. I would rather recruit for need right now and end up with a top 5 rated class on stars. I also think some of their highly rated guys this year are pretty overrated, but we have had some guys like that the last few years too.

He may beat Saban in recruiting next year, but I don't think he ever beats Bama in the West.

I don't think Auburn will catch Bama in the recruiting rankings this year but they've got a good class regardless. The recruiting points mean very little when 2 classes have that much talent. It's about filling need positions and coaching them up.

^I don't see how you can say this? Auburn beat Bama how many years in a row? Most of the time this game is a coin flip so you never know who will win...

I tend to think Bama will have a great class next year.

LSU won a championship in '07 and had an amazing '08 class.

Florida won a championship in '08 and is crushing in '09 even with Urban going nuts.

He said in the west, not in the iron bowl.

I think the point is Chiz probably can't sustain it for an entire season.

Who knows at this point. He's doing well.

You need to sit back and see how we finish here. We have 2 4 star defensive ends commited and 3 linebackers (3 and 4 stars), which are our greatest needs on defense.

This weekend we hosted 4 of our top remaining prospects. All 4 defensive guys. 2 four star massive tackles and 2 safeties.

We will finish strong on defense as almost all our top targets are defensive guys that we have a very good shot at getting.

gatordmb89, I wouldn't be stunned if Auburn pulls an upset, but I don't expect they'll actually pass Alabama and make it to the SEC title game unless Alabama is way down for a year.

I want to see him do more before I judge him. I honestly don't think Tubs should have been fired. He had an awful year when the new OC tried a new system, but he was doing fine before that.

Where do you get your bad info from? We are not looking for anymore safties. Trent Fisher was on campus, but he is going to be a walk-on. The only S we are taking in this class is D. McNeal. He even said Chizik told him he was the only one we are taking when he committed.

I tend to agree with this. With recruiting rankings, the top 5 classes(except florida, ) are usually so close from a talent standpoint, it's just a matter of what needs you want to fill on the field.

Sorry, I'm not going to sit back and speculate with you that everyone of those guys signs with Auburn. You needed more quality defensive players than your going to get this year while your staff was spending a lot of time on stud RB's and highlyy rated WR's. Auburn has certainly recruited alot of stars this year and to that my hat is off to you. Auburn could have recruited players of greater need to them this year instead of having their best recruiters dog fight over three of the most highly recruited RB's.

I like our class because it's more well rounded. But that's just like my oppinion man. Stars are cool too. I get excited about stars like everyone else. If I were an Auburn fan I would want some of those stars more on the defensive side of the ball though.

Wrong, Saban and crew has been selling 'playing time' to this years recruits too. According to John Fulton

"They basically broke down the depth chart again," Fulton said. "They have done the depth chart like 1,000 times, but they did it again. They actually brought the book this time and talked to me about that. They told me that I could play early

That's because we do need defensive backs. Justin Woodall, Kareem Jackson, Javier Arenas, and Marquis Jackson are all either graduating or going pro. The only starting secondary players Alabama is returning are Mark Barron and Robby Green.

Wrong again moron. Saban promises no player early playing time. He promises them an opportunity to earn playing time, because he lets his best players play, unlike the retarded fool running your program. Fulton may be good enough to earn playing time, like Richardson did this year and Julio did last year.

As it stands, I'd be much more worried about LSU if I were you. LSU is quickly becoming irrelevant again.

Since you do not really know what you are talking about and want to jump to conclusions, I will not waste my time with you.
