Everyone close to him says he's dumb as shite.

Anders was a good LB but he did bite on the playfake that went for a TD to his man in the Iron Bowl this year.
You're right. Because he got beat in coverage on one play that overshadows all the great plays he made.....
....He also ended any chance of Texas having a game winning drive for the NC in about 3 seconds. Funny how you didn't mention that... I wonder why.

re: So was Sylve the Silent UA commit lsufanva was talking about?

Yall can't forget that The state of Alabama does have AU in it as well. While LSU is THE school to go to in Louisiana.
With the top talent in Alabama if you don't got to UA you go to AU or vice versa. Thus landing the talented players is obviously significantly decreased. While in Louisiana, it's either go to LSU or OOS. Which again obviously makes it easier for other schools to get players to leave the state.
Nothing to worry about for LSU fans. Sure the kid's fast and I'm ecstatic that he'll be coming to Bama if he sticks with his commitment. But it's not like he's an instant impact player.

re: Kareem Jackson goes #20 to Houston Texans...
Posted by BDS on 4/23/10 at 12:32 pm
The thing about Kareem is that he was smart. If he ever got beat on a play, he stored it in his mind and would recognize the formation and make a play the next time our opponent went back to the same play.
When Kareem was getting beat on those slants against UT, on their last drive they tried it again. And Kareem made a good jump on the ball and deflected it way up in the air and we almost picked it. Another step sooner and he would have sixed it.
Hardly ever did you see Kareem beat, especially last season. And if he did give up a play that he thought was too long, it was the last time that play worked against him.

Sounds like he commited. But I don't see anything about it being public anywhere.

No idea who(maybe Mickey Johnson?), but we definitely got a commit from cajun country this weekend. Guessing it'll go public tomorrow or sometime this week.

re: Your teams early enrollees this spring- How are they doing?

Don't expect to see any EE's make an impact on the field other than special teams.
But, Cade Foster made all of his field goals in the scrimmage today with the long being 33 yards.
Phillip Sims went 15-19, 135 yrds. and a TD IIRC. Several players have commented on the progress he's made so far. Redshirt coming for him though.
And John Fulton has been listed as one of the defensive leaders when looking at stats after both scrimmages. I'm more excited about him over anyone else.
But, like I said. I don't look for EE's to make an impact outside of special teams.

There is a difference in well coached and talented. Kareem Jackson was well coached, but he doesn't have great top end speed
FWIW, Jackson ran a 4.41 at the combine. He may not be insanely quick. But his top end speed isn't an issue, IMO.

re: Danny Woodson Jr. Commits to BAMA

It is kinda funny how quickly he changed his mind though. A week ago he said he didn't really think bama offering him would make a difference in Auburn staying his top school. Today, he commits the day after he's offered. Oh well...
Similar to LaDarius Owens from last year IMO. Woodson has had bama in his blood since before he was a thought. He's wanted to play for Bama his whole life and his Father played here. Same with Owens last year, his uncle played at The University of Auburn and he's wanted to play there his whole life. An offer from Bama wasn't going to change his mind.

Kentucky has gotten calls in their favor all season. That's pretty much a fact. Not using it as an excuse though.
They are better than we are. This game never should have been close from a talent stand point.

I really wouldn't care if he was the first pick in the draft or sucked total arse. He's old enough to know how to act, and it's almost embarrassing to watch.
