No. Its not. Not only will you now be disappointed tonight, but you'll be disappointed for an additional 30 nights.

Who knows, maybe it will encourage me to get some damn sleep???

I still don't understand why people cheer for a college football team when they never went to school there.......

So kids 10 to 18 should not pull for a college team? Some kids sign with Auburn because they have been fans of them, because their parents were fans of them, with the majority never going to school at AU. College football is an awesome sport. Sports teams have fans. With that said...Hook 'em Horns!

It's still not worth it. Just think.. you.. and Au fan can be associated with a NC tonight.. When do you think that will present itself again?

At this rate, the Alabama fans are doing a better job of convincing me to cheer for Texas...

Seriously, who are you gonna cheer for when you're a kid if you can only cheer for the school you graduated from, dumbest concept ever and one Auburn fans seem obsessed with for some strange reason.

I went to Alabama for my final two years. That has nothing to do with me being a fan. I went to UAB for two years and could care less what they do in any sport.

I agree CPA. I was happy for Ingram....he seems like a great kid. But there is NOTHING good for Auburn about Bama winning a NC. Bama win = intolerable fans. AND, if the roles were reversed, and Auburn lost, Bama fans would never let us hear the end of how much we suck and were the only SEC team to lose a BCS Championship game. So.....it's not so much that I "hate" Bama, it's just......wait, no, I do hate them - sorry. I hate them frickers.

I am just kidding with you about your son. My parents took me to my first AU game when I was 2.5. When I was 6 years old, I knew I was an AU fan and already did not like Bama at all. All because of being born in an AU family of course.

I may hate them frickers, but I don't agree with this.....I support any frickhead's right to cheer for Bama...alumni or not...if they are brainwashed and don't know any better. Seriously, not everyone can go to college; it doesn't make sense that a non-college grad can't cheer for a team he likes.

Noooo, it does help us in the long run. As soon as the national media gets a chance to disrespect the SEC, they will.. and when they lose respect for us, so does the nation outside of SEC country. Keep the respect, keep playing for titles.

Sorry to inform you, but that is just fricking retarded. How does it help us in recruiting, especially in AL/GA? That's the lifeblood of the program. The answer: it doesn't. Florida's 2 MNCs haven't helped us at all. The only team that benefits (not talking about $)from bammer winning the MNC is bammer. So...GTFO and go be a bammer.

Thank you Creole, that has always irked my arse when I've heard someone pull that B.S.

I don't believe that you HAVE to go to the school to be a football fan, but it certainly helps! IMO, there needs to be some sort of tie to the institution. Perhaps an uncle played football there or a brother/sister went to school there. One of our good friends is a die hard Bammer. He never went to school there, but his kids do. I let him slide.

With that said, the only qualification I can see (in all my years of living in Bammerham) to be a Bammer is to pop out of a womb in Alabama.
