How can you root for Bama? I am honestly shocked that I am in the minority rooting for Texas. I think I am going to puke. It will not help Auburn at all if Bama wins. Your priority should be Auburn #1 and to root for all things that benefit Auburn. Maybe they will win so you fence hopping Aubs will go ahead and switch to the darkside.

Noooo, it does help us in the long run. As soon as the national media gets a chance to disrespect the SEC, they will.. and when they lose respect for us, so does the nation outside of SEC country. Keep the respect, keep playing for titles.

It's probably due to their home state being in the national spotlight for a positive reason--just about the only positive thing Alabama (the state) is ever in the national spotlight for.....which can override all other considerations for some

I dare say that if it were Ole Miss in this game, a good percentage of USM and MSU fans would do the same thing......

If Bammer never won another game ever or got the death penalty, I'd be the happiest person on earth. Growing up in Bammerham and going to the "neutral" Iron Bowls at Legion Field is enough to make anyone hate Bammer. I still don't understand why people cheer for a college football team when they never went to school there.......

You are the minority in a lot of things Auburn fans do and more importantly dont do. On the other hand I am rooting for Texas. War Damn Eagle.

This. I grew up in the ham and was at those (neutral ) games in the late 80's when we were beating that arse.

That has nothing to do with being a fan. Some people can't afford to go to the school of their favorite team. Sometimes the school doesnt have the best program for their major. And then sometimes they just don't go to college. You can be a fan and NOT go to the school

I do think it's an age thing to a certain degree. Younger Auburn fans that didn't grow up in that era don't have as much hatred for Bama as those of us who grew up in it. Also, we didn't grow up with this whole "pull for the SEC" horseshite.

I'm not switching. Texas has that douche McConaughey as a fan. That's enough of a reason to cheer against them.
