I took a peek to see what the 'horns were saying after all the action yesterday. Can't say I'm surprised.

I think Texas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska have better defenses than the top SEC teams. They face tougher talent on offense and still rank right up there with them in the sterile stat lines.
I would rather face Alabama's D than Nebraska's. Holy smokes they were good. Not looking forward to playing them in 2010.

I do think Nebraska's D is about as good as anyone.
They have no offense at all though.
This is the same team that lost to Iowa State 7-9 and TTU 10-31.
Suh is amazing and their defense is good but they aren't a great team.

Yeah, well that certainly explains Ole Miss beating Texas Tech, Arkansas beating AM, LSU beating unbeatable OU in 2003 NC game, etc., etc.

I will say this..
Nebraska D-line > Alabama D-line
Now the defense top to bottom, not so sure

Against the pass.. for sure. They get hella pressure. Against the run.. not so sure.

I disagree with their D line being better. Cody and Dareus are a great combo. Cody shuts down the middle. Suh causes havok. They're both strong lines.

quote:I agree. You'd think the OP has never heard of the Paul Finebaum show. Talk about the pot and the kettle. If he wants to hear fans who are way over the top, he should listen to that crap. It's pretty funny stuff.

This makes me wish LSU was going to the cotton bowl to molest a pissant Big 12 team. Go Rebs!

I live in Houston and most of the Horns fans I knew were afraid of Florida and wanted to play Bama before yesterday.
Most of the ones I've talked to were really impressed after seeing the game yesterday. A couple mentioned that Nebraska is much better than Auburn and we barely beat Auburn. Most of the fans I've talked to are a bit worried based on the way they struggled yesterday.
It should be a really good game.
You're going to get unrealistic fans on both sides but there are some that have brains.
