I'm willing to bet other schools are more liberal than Vandy. Rich southern kids tend to be more conservative. The most liberal is probably UF.

Ole Miss is basically greek kids and greek wannabes who are conservative and the rest of the kids who are liberal. Really though, middle of the road is fine. Alabama is probably more conservative. State is the most conservative for srue though.

Duke, would you agree that Milsaps is the most Liberal school in Mississippi?

I want to think this but it seems that Florida is really liberal, but not as bad as a Vandy.

I can't say. I have no connection to Mississippi outside of spending a year and a half in Oxford.

I'm actually surprised everyone is listing Vandy as the most liberal. It has a reputation of being extremely conservative compared to the rest of the private universities in the south, at least the national universities and not LACs

When Princeton review comes out with their Top 10 schools for marijuana Ole Miss generally makes that list with schools such as Cal-Berkley and Colorado Boulder.

Wow, congats! That is one of the douchiest things I've heard in a while. People smoke weed everywhere, but the schools that top this list are the douche bags that want everyone to know they smoke. Case in point: UC Boulder, nothing but rich private school kids who want to act like hippies, ****ing pathetic.

Looking at the people I know who went to Vandy and it's reputation, I figured it would be up the conservative list. I know these are SEC schools, but everyone assumes "smarter" kids = liberals.

UF has higher per capita number of hippie liberal East Coast types than any other SEC school. They may be #1.

A friend of mine from HS was the VP of Vandy's college dems. They outnumbered the College Rep's like 3:1

I'm glad LSU is right in the middle. Not a bunch of retarded hippies or insecure rednecks

Have not read any of the posts in this thread but I am curious what you are basing this on. For the record, UF was the second most liberal campus, behind Berkley, in the 60's. Not sure about now.

Kentucky had a sex week a few weeks ago. The slogan was "Sex Week @ UK. It's Coming. RU?"

The events ranged from "Sex Toys 101" — a frank seminar about bedroom accessories — to lectures and panel discussions about religions' approaches to sex or ways to teach sex education, as well as belly dancing classes and sensual poetry readings.

Most of it was sponsored by Pure Romance, an Ohio-based firm that hosts sex product and education parties at private homes.

Oh damn, look out, fellas! Kentucky's gonna have a HELL of a recruiting class as long as they keep this tradition!
