HOltz was describing a conversation he had with Nutt earlier that year about getting the ball to certain people a certain amount of times and he didn't care how he did it.

This is actually the only post I believe might be true in this entire thread.

Trivia tidbit:
Know why its called the "Wildcat" package?
Gus Malzahn ran it with the guys he coached with in Springdale. Springdale Har-Ber's mascot is the "Wildcats".
Springdale is the Bulldogs and it was called the wildcat or polecat way before then. Gus never was at Har-Ber, it did not start playing football until the year after Springdale won the State Championship in 05.

I thought Mitch Mustain's Mama invented the Wildcat and after she owned Frank Broyles, he made Nutt put it in.

You are not gonna try to tell me Houston Nutt is not only deceiving the presses, but not quite the offensive innovator I thought he, (or brother) was????!
Love is blind, and we know you love Houston deep in your throat.
Before joining the Dolphins, Lee had served as the offensive coordinator at the University of Arkansas. There, he had inherited from his predecessor, Gus Malzahn, two elite running backs, Darren McFadden and Felix Jones, as well as an odd offensive package. Malzahn, who is now the Auburn offensive coordinator, had first used it at Springdale High in Arkansas, though he took no credit for inventing it. In fact, the package was a descendant of the old single-wing formation, which had been run in some form and with various names at various levels of football for decades. At Arkansas, it included a direct snap to McFadden, who would then run or throw behind an offset offensive line, with the power stacked to one side. There, it was called “The Wild Hog.â€
Gus, nutt Danny, brought the Wildcat to Arkansas

Surprised Hugh Wyatt has gotten no mention in this thread. He's the person that brought it back and named it...

The discussion was about who took it an implemented it at Arkansas.
