Then why didn't he say it wasn't directed at Arkansas in his apology?

Dumass.

Sucks to have a pretty terrible DE as one of your better defensive players.

All that recruiting you guys told us Nutt was doing....IN ACTION.

Ah, a Nutt lover in Hog clothing.

The only time he pulled rabbits was when he had under-achieving teams due to his idiotic coaching and had a game or two where they actually played up to their potential. In other words, they weren't rabbits. They were the rare case Nutt had his teams play to their potential.

It's pretty easy to "pull an upset" when you have the best backfield of this generation, and you've coached 'em up to where they didn't even when a damn bowl game.

You're stupid.

Why would he apologize, by calling the Arkansas media on his own, if it wasn't directed at Arkansas?

You fit right in in Mississippi.

So you don't remember them chanting their coaches name at us two years in a row, while we had to suffer from the shite-storm he left us? Or the sarcastic comments in the elevator or "thanks for the coach" comments?

Screw them. They are racist, arrogant, and shoved it in our face for two years when they could.

A few good posters on the rant doesn't make up for an entire cesspool of a university.

How'd that work out for him?

He lost two defensive starters included their best pash rusher and their best corner.

Tyler Wilson may throw for 750.

I'm looking forward to this week because David Lee went out of his way to poke at our staff and fans by talking about Knile Davis getting hurt....which will ensure Petrino won't take his foot off the gas.

Yeah....that will be posted on the locker room this week. Our team and staff loved Davis. I'd be surprised if the starters came out early, at all.

God, I remember all the shite you talked about Nutt and how stupid Arkansas fans were for the first 2 years after he left.

Saturday is going to feel so good.

In 2010 (2011 not released yet) Tennessee was fourth nationally in attendance. Arkansas was 25th.

So? We sucked. We suck now. Go look at our attendance when we were consistently in the top 20 like you have been recently.

We had over 300 straight sell-outs. Over 10,000 people on the waiting list for season tickets in a 20,000 seat arena.

We brought 10,000 to Atlanta, and 12,000 to Dallas.

Next to Kentucky, it's not close.

When was the last time Arkansas sold out Bud Walton?

Our average paid attendance this year was higher than your arena's capacity.

Arkansas basketball fans are second to Kentucky, but after that it's not even close.

To say otherwise is either showing your ignorance or you rage.

i'll be conservative and say 13 pages.

Facilities are close. Recruiting base close. Money probably close. Fan support close.

Needless to say, it's close.

I agree on everything but fan support. Yes, y'all pack your home arena when you are good (just like Hog fans)....but you don't travel nearly as well.

When Arkansas is good, there will be a minimum of 5,000 Hog fans and more like 8-10,000 at the SEC tournament. If the Hogs are playing within 500 miles of Fayetteville in the NCAA's, there will be at least 8,000 Hog fans there.

Overall though, they're close. I think this time around any coach would come to Fayetteville though because of the mess Pearl left.
His buyout?

2011: 18 million
2012: 18 million
2013: 17.975 million
2014: 14.75 million
2015: 10.75 million
2016: 6.75 million

He ain't going anywhere for a while. Sure, MAYBE Texas COULD pay it, but they won't. Other than that -- ain't nobody affording him for at least 5 years.

Petrino goes where the money is.

He took a $2 million pay cut to come to Arkansas.

This is a problem if you are going to compete with the rest of the SEC West.

Since when do we not have interstates and airplanes that allow us to recruit out of state?

Talent hasn't been a problem the last 15 years. It's been coaching.

Again, I'm not saying Arkansas has the recruiting base of Florida, UGA, or LSU. But it's not the talentless end-of-the college football world everyone makes it out to be. It's a top 25 job, and can pay as well as anyone.

has it ever occured to you that you are in the sugar thanks to Au/due to default? you didn't win the west, didn't win the s.e.c., if Au wasn't playing for the n.c., no first time sugar (in the b.c.s. era) for the hogs.

i'm actually happy for you guys. i'm just tired of hearing how this is a big accomplishment over other teams. a lot of you guys are acting like you won the s.e.c. or something.

What is it with you LSU fans?

You're the only 2 loss team in BCS history to win a national title, yet YOU are going to make THIS argument?
quote:

There is one big difference between Arkansas and LSU.

A whole bunch of football players. You can recruit just New Orleans and have more players than the state of Arkansas.

Again, we don't have a talent problem. Arkansas may not produce the numbers that other states do, but it produces plenty of elite-level talent (Mallett, Childs, Wright, Adams, Williams, McFadden, Hillis, Anderson, etc off the top of my head).

Besides, Tulsa is 1.5 hours away and DFW is 4 hours away. KC is 2.5 hours away. There is PLENTY of talent within 5 hours of campus. We don't have the base of LSU, UGA, or UF, but recruiting isn't a problem with a good coach.
quote:

except LSU has always been a hot bed of talent

Cool. Still sounds like LSU pre-Saban.

And besides, we've never had a talent problem at Arkansas. We've had a coaching problem.

Arkansas will always be a middle-tier SEC program, Sultan.

Sounds exactly like LSU pre-Saban.

Want a cookie?

We send nearly 40k for a regular season game yearly.
Sold 17,500 already. 25,000+ pre-orders taken.
