if he was given full reign of the offense like he thought he deserved then Arkansas would not have won the west and he would not have won the award. He can thank Nutt's brilliant recruiting and Nutt's brilliant way of giving him a limited playbook for going to the SEC title game.

For Christsakes wrt!

An over rated OC that has won the highest honors his position can earn him, twice in three years, with nation leading offenses and the implementation of formations that have now become career savers in the NFL.

My dad has been implementing singlewing in little league football for years.
You act as if this is a groundbreaking formation. It's not.

I bet you are truly miserable in life. Just wait until Bobby beats your boy in Oxford this year.

I hope you have some family that will talk you off your ledge.

Trivia tidbit:

Know why its called the "Wildcat" package?

Gus Malzahn ran it with the guys he coached with in Springdale. Springdale Har-Ber's mascot is the "Wildcats".

SEC West Champ was "added" his first year.

I stand corrected.

When he does something WITHOUT Darren McFadden lemme know, cause in case you noticed, Auburn doesn't have one...

Long and short of it is, come off your Malzhan high-horse. The guy is a fraud that won't win in the SEC.

WRT another shining example for all to see what a fricking idiot you are.

1 year before Malzahn and under Nutt's great coaching - 4 wins.

With Malzahn and essentially the same players, although handicapped and undermined greatly by the head arse Clown and the arse Clown Posse - 10 WINS!

Thanks for keeping up your reputation as an uninformed, arse-wipe NuttHugger.

choctaw if you believe what you are saying which is "nutt was nothing in 06 without Malzhan" that you don't understand football. I have a hard time corresponding with you on a forum b/c you're not being logical.

You have to go back and read what I originally said in this post and it should bring you some insight into Gus Malzhan and what to expect from him in the SEC when he doesn't walk in to a great talent situation like he did in 2006. Malzhan had little to do with the 06 success. He had alot more to do with Vanderbilt and Alabama being so close.

Congrats, he "came up" with an offense that was thought up of by video gamers on Ncaa Football.

I was one of the critics of Malzahn, and I was actually suprised at the Razorback offense. I don't care who was coaching. Nutt/Malzahn? The offense was good.

I also give him kudos for bringing the "Wildcat" to college football. Great scheme. I thought it was great to see it in the pros too this past year.

Yea, if he would read more of my posts, he knows I can be objective "most" of the time.

Let them talk. Its a high school offense would never work. Arkansas won't ever score a TD with it.
Just like how urban meyers offense would never work.

Malzhan did not bring the wildcat to college football. According to coach Houston Nutt, it was his brother Danny that brought it and it started years earlier with Matt Jones. But, I remember just a few weeks ago, maybe it was sec media days Nutt saying he had to give credit to Danny for starting that, or at least bringing it back.

I think just b/c Malzhan was on campus that year, that certainly does not mean it was Malzhan's idea. I did like some of Malzhan's highschool trick plays like the Reggie fish hide and seek play.

I think Malzhan was reasonably creative with some of the misdirection running plays but Houston Nutt told him to give the ball to mcfadden 25 times, give it to felix 15 times and other than that he didn't care, or something to that effect. Had Malzhan been told to do what he wanted, he would have done the spread, hurry up no huddle, thrown it half the time, some of those for interceptions and sacks b/c his offense yields a ton of interceptions and sacks against fast defenses, and Arkansas would have been about 8-4 in regular season.

There is a youtube clip of lou holtz describing it somewhere.

Malzahn was running it in the early 90's in h.s.

He wasn't the one that created it but made it popular again.

I thought it was david lee that created it

coach nutt said , I think at sec media days this year, that he had to give the credit to his brother, Danny Nutt.

You are not gonna try to tell me Houston Nutt is not only deceiving the presses, but not quite the offensive innovator I thought he, (or brother) was????!
