ok SEC fans, what are some famous "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory moments" you can think of involving your team, whether you won or loss? Some for LSU:
LSU vs. Iowa in 2005 Capital One Bowl (LSU loss)
LSU vs. UK in 2002 (LSU win)
LSU vs. Iowa in 2005 Capital One Bowl (LSU loss)
LSU vs. UK in 2002 (LSU win)

The infamous LSU-Kentucky basketball meltdown.

We had 3 games in a row in Tiger stadium with a lead in the 4th quarter and lost ('02, '04, and '06).

1997 Iron Bowl - Ed Scissum fumbles late in the 4th quarter when all we needed to do was get a first down and run the clock out.
2003 UT game - Most people remember this as UT converting a 4th and 19. I remember because Bama had 1st and 5 and couldn't get a first down to run out the clock. UT won in 5 OTs
2003 Arky game - I think we were up 38-17 with 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. We had the game won about 3 different times. Biggest thing I remember from this game is Bama picking Matt Jones off in OT and the guy fell down and everybody was celebrating. One ref is telling them to get up and another ref comes all the way across the field and flags us for Unsportsmanlike. It was a bullshite call. We would've been in easy field goal position, instead we started on the 40.
1998 LSU - One positive one. We had no business winning this game. Kevin Faulk had about 1200 total yards. Two tipped passes and an onside kick later and Bama comes out of Death Valley with a win......again.

LSU-Arkansas in Little Rock. Dominate the whole game and then a long run for a td and the last drive.
Edit--the Miracle on Markham as they call it around here

Technically it's not "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory," but when Tyler Watts dropped that ball against Oklahoma, I almost broke my TV.

2007 - LSU vs Auburn - Flynn to Byrd TD throw leaving 1 second on the clock...ball game!

2003 UF vs. Miami. Gators lead 33-10 with 8:33 3rd quarter.
Zook rotates Leak, Martin and Dickey, plays prevent D, and we lose to the Canes 38-33 in Coral Gables.

2002 - LSU vs Ark: Playing for the West in the last game of the season, LSU leads ARK the entire game and are up 20-14 with only 0:40 secs to go. The Hawgs take over and have 81 yards to go. Sounds like LSU is gonna be in Atlanta, right?
Wrong. The Tiger secondary breaks down and Matt Jones connects on two big pass plays, the second one for the go-ahead score.

I am sure Gator fans feel Addai running over and over to beat Florida.

LSU @ Auburn 1994. That to me is the greatest example of this. Whereas LSU/Iowa 2005 was an LSU comeback ruined by a fluke play, and whereas LSU/Kentucky 2002 was a Kentucky comeback ruined by a fluke play, LSU/Auburn 1994 was the systematic dismantling of an otherwise dominating game by LSU. 23-9 at the end of the 3rd quarter, and literally every play call (and almost every actual pass by Howard) helped Auburn win that game. I've never seen anything like it.

Arkansas 08
30-14 in the 3rd quarter, then doing everything in our power to ensure that we lose that game.

Friday and Sunday games against Auburn this past weekend. In football, it was the Peach Bowl a few years back against NC or NCS; can't remember for sure (too many to count)
