Still a newbie with the bourbon; just started drinking it this year. Old Fashioneds mostly, some neat, and a few with coke and club soda. I like OF 1910 and Michters small batch neat; Bulliet Rye in coke; WT 101, Elijah Craig, and OF 100 in old fashioneds.
I watch some of the youtubers and I'm amazed at what they can smell and taste. At what point can I smell cherry pie, a banana split, lol etc ? I'm amazed at what they are tasting and smelling. I'll occasionally get a brown sugar smell, maybe a tobacco smell or taste. It's usually just a.. I Iike it or I don't.

Umpire has called the outside strike all night.
Not perfect but a fair game has been called so far. There’s been some bad umps this year but this isnt one of them (so far).

I'll be at his first home game start. Only about 20 minutes away and me and my oldest adult son will be there. Little Rock sucks but they play in a real nice park and it's always a good time at a game.

Read Shanklin had a death in the family.
Moved my mother in law in with us 7 months ago. She lived in CA; tried a nursing home that lasted 2 days. Her 4 daughters were there and they said it was terrible.
Wife called crying and I just told her to pack her up and bring her to Arkansas.
It’s been an adjustment but so far so good. We work a few half days, have a friend that comes for a few hours one day and make her lunch. Another day wife’s sister drives 45 min and able to say lot of the day.
We have our routine but can’t take off for any overnight trip without lot of planning. Recent empty nesters and was looking forward the freedom of weekend trips etc but you do what you have to do.

Knew there was a good reason to make an old fashioned before starting this game.
Mine are in their early 20s but oldest wanted to do engineering since early high school, he graduated 2 years ago and doing well.
Youngest was the athlete of the bunch and he graduates in May and starts PT school in June. He was always interested in athletic trainer, DC, PT, etc.
Whatever they were interested we just did what we could to show them the pros and cons of each; they shadowed etc.

I can tear up at the drop of a hat. I can't stand it. Rudy, Hossiers, Seabiscuit :lol:; they all get me. I could go to your funeral, not know you from Adam, and tear up with a story. Needless to say at my dad's funeral there were plenty of tears.
Went and looked at Gambling's scores so far this year. Yikes. They give up double digit runs more often than not.
