How old is that dude now, 52?

Better start collecting that social security before it's all gone.

I'm fairly shocked. Then again...this is a very weak QB class. One of the weakest in recent memory.

2nd QB off the board is a surprise.

I thought last year's QB class sucked outside of Cam Ward and didn't see how it could get any worse.

Yeah, this year's is worse.

Packers model. Draft him and let him sit for a few year years.

Now fully healthy he had to have graded better with his private workouts. Being on the Gruden thing had to have helped with his FB IQ

Wait, what? Literally almost every draft projection had him as the 2nd off the board.

Unfortunately, Mendoza just had his career killed by going to the Raiders.

From Gemini

Heading into the 2026 NFL Draft, Ty Simpson is the consensus QB2 in the vast majority of legitimate mock drafts. While Fernando Mendoza (Indiana) is the unanimous QB1 and the projected No. 1 overall pick for the Raiders, Simpson’s status as the second quarterback off the board is nearly as firm across major platforms.
Based on the final 2026 mock drafts from major outlets like NFL.com, ESPN, and CBS Sports, here is how the landscape looks:
Consensus Rankings & Mock Percentages
• QB2 Status: Approximately 90% to 95% of high-profile mock drafts (Daniel Jeremiah, Bucky Brooks, Field Yates, etc.) list Ty Simpson as the second quarterback selected.
