I know some had asked about this in the last week or so. Set to vote on a final plan for the endzone and the area around it. Plans look awesome here. $323M project.

I like it. Makes a huge difference on what has always been an eye sore. I would like to see the interior view. It looks from these drawings the only added seating are the suites

Can't see how it looks good/goes with the existing structure and I absolutely hate the new scoreboard already but nobody asked me and they stopped caring about what normal people like me wanted a long long time ago anyways so whatever.

Yea I’m going to be curious what the inside stadium renderings look like. I know these weren’t finalized but it has seemed like all the projected designs had similar exteriors as what they just released and interior somewhere along these lines:

They would have Jonathon Wallace from 2012 on the big screen.

We dont have any other QBs of note.

Yea, I found that odd too when that rendering came out in 2016/17.

I'm actually surprised this is the plan because it seems like a good idea and rendering

Too bad those expensive suites are staring right into the sun on afternoon games.

I think it is all but a formality at this point. The architecture firm and design firms have already gotten voted on approval so at this point it is just finalizing the concrete plan. If they are calling for a vote, i think it is pretty much a done deal.

I agree, I really like the plan as they have it. Assuming the multi-use space and ballroom area will probably hold plenty of off-season stuff as well, weddings and such. Depending on where that space is and what would be available for those type of events as far as walking around/view, that could be a decent little revenue stream for them.

In other news tomorrow at 9am they are announcing something involving the world. Some have said it's a world cup pre game for Argentina and Serbia

With Messi on the roster it’s not impossible the stadium will sell out.

Almost assured it is. They are scheduled to play June 9 in Alabama and it isn’t Tuscaloosa and it isn’t Birmingham

Curious how our field will be in the middle of June. Not usually it’s peak time.

I would watch Messi. I had tickets to watch Portugal vs the US last week in Atlanta but sold them when I found out Ronaldo wouldn't be playing

My question on these designs, currently that's right where the opposing team enters the stadium, there's a descent down to a parking lot where there is the metal structure holding up the North end zone and the opposing team locker. So where in the world will that be now? I'm assuming they plan to fill in that parking lot and build on top of it, but it's not clear where their buses and locker room would be here.

If you zoom in on the second picture, where the pavement is real dark on the right side of the endzone, you can see it is actually a ramp that goes underneath the pavilion area. So I’m guessing that will all still be there and it will be a loading/unloading area down there.

North Endzone project has officially been approved. Goal looks to be completed by 2029 season, with partial availability for the 2028 season.

I like the interior of this a lot more than the previous renderings. Keeps inside JHS similar and basically just stacks a little on top of it isntead of completely overhauling that entire endzone seating. Will blend a whole lot better. The added student dining hall and other spaces are a great addition as well.

Looks like there will be a rooftop bar as well

Question: will the current season ticket holders in the Nelson Club and East Club have access to the newer, nicer more spacious new club areas?

Also, I wonder if the cost of season tickets in the new club will be equal, more, or less than the current club areas. Anyone know?

No clue but those are good questions. I would find it very hard to believe the new club won't be more expensive than the others.
