Maybe y'all could make a strong-arse offer and lure him back.

IIRC, when Rick departed both parties were elated and equally shared in the happiness from their divorce.

We got nothing against Rick Barnes and he is easy to root for. His track record at Texas was what it was and it was time for a change. Hope he wins a natty.

Could not care less about basketball but I don't think the BBall fans we do have miss him.
but I could be wrong.

After run ruling zero u in first game and winning the second game in the bottom of the tenth with a bases loaded walk off single.
Which was more heart breaking?
Going for the sweep this afternoon.

He’s a great person and miss him for that. But don’t miss his coaching. Maybe he’s evolved but it wasn’t working at the end of his tenure here.

I appreciate what Rick did for Texas but prior to this tournament run he had won exactly one game in the NCAA tournament as a seed 2 spots or lower. He of course has doubled that amount this year alone and kudos to him for 3 straight elite 8 runs.
I want a coach I think can win it all and he always seems to come up short. I hope he does well for Tenner and can happily retire there having brought them to more glory than they previously had.

He took his name out of consideration for the Texas job. Iykyk

He has quietly become the elder statesman of the SEC, along with Will Wade.

Miller seems like he’s still got his head in the game.

Truth. Poor decisions all around. Chris for being with that crazy twit, and doubly the wokesters in Belmont Hall that got rid of him.

Oh gawd. Yeah. Way back machine.
It was a funny factoid that Barnes kept turning down job offers to leave when he was at Texas. Ones that he hadn’t even been offered yet.

Beard was and still is an incredible coaching talent, but what he was accused of was tip of the iceberg. If if didn’t come crashing down that night, it was destined to in a worse way later on

I think the biggest regret is who Texas hired after Barnes left

Yet he has his team in the elite eight and Texas is sitting at home.
