Not really the point of the thread. More so calling people out for jumping to conclusions before anything has happened.

Not to mention being “ranked” doesnt really mean much considering an unranked team like Florida can go on the road and sweep a top 5 team. Every team is a tough out in this league sans one or two clubs

I just find it comical how some people need to find something to complain about before seeing a single game is all

And fwiw, I think a&m has most definitely proven themselves a top 20 team and has everything in front of them. Every team other than maybe UCLA has shown to have warts
My point exactly. The thread I referenced was before a single pitch was thrown

Texas has faced 3 ranked (two top 10) teams in their first three conference series. All opponents were ranked higher than their preseason rankings

Meanwhile, 4/5 teams in Etheridge’s tweet that Texas “avoids” are below their preseason rankings / unranked

Funny what happens when you let the season play out

Off the top of my head:

Hubert Kos (olympic gold medalist)
Luke Forester
Camden Taylor
Will Modglin

Believe it or not, Texas actually has more sports than just a handful to root for and watch

I’ll bet you were wishing Texas hadn’t left the Big 12 last weekend.
Wasn't the Tigers' single game and single weekend attendance records broken during the Texas series?

If anything, Big 12 teams are keeping Auburn relevant

Lol. Triggered as all get out.
What's there to be triggered about? Every sport on campus is undefeated this weekend :dude:

And yet you wanted too. I suppose beating A&M in any sport is still up there with you winning a swimming and diving championship.

Good to know where we stand
A&M came third in this thread, after mentions of Texas winning a title and the walking off OU twice.

So I guess that is exactly where you stand: a school that doesn't win championships as often as Texas does, nor is considered the biggest rival of the longhorns

I’m absolutely shocked that the first non-longhorn in this thread is an aggie. Shocked I tell you!

We got nothing against Rick Barnes and he is easy to root for. His track record at Texas was what it was and it was time for a change. Hope he wins a natty.
Cant really sum it up better than this

I think the biggest regret is who Texas hired after Barnes left

Truth. Poor decisions all around. Chris for being with that crazy twit, and doubly the wokesters in Belmont Hall that got rid of him.
There’s so much you don’t know

Beard was and still is an incredible coaching talent, but what he was accused of was tip of the iceberg. If if didn’t come crashing down that night, it was destined to in a worse way later on

Credit to Texas coming back last night, but OU totally imploded
Texas

Football: 10-3, won the citrus bowl
Basketball (mens): Sweet 16
Baseball: Top of the SEC currently, ranked #2

Ole Miss

Football: 13-2 playoff semis (probably greatest season in school history)
Basketball: very forgetful, 15th place
Baseball: Currently ranked, 3-4 SEC record

Mississippi State

Football: 5-7, bowl game appearance
Basketball: cellar of the SEC
Baseball: #6 in the country

Vanderbilt

Football: 10-3, bowl appearance & Heisman candidate (also maybe best season ever)
Basketball: 5 seed round of 32
Baseball: currently struggling but won a series

Really like Rick. Always have

His career record against high seeds hasn't been great but he's won three games against teams seeded 3 or better in the last two tournaments

Watching two teams I don't care about play each other sounds HIDEOUSLY boring.
Then why did you even bother commenting?

What is not even the best basketball season in the last 4 years for Texas would still be the greatest basketball season of all time for the aggies

Really says a lot

You’re trying to too hard

I’m sorry your big brother just equaled the greatest aggie basketball season in history (on a down year no less)

Gotta be tough being an aggie

do I need to pull receipts on you too?

Also Texas just runruled a team a&m lost a series to. I genuinely have no idea where a&m gets the confidence to talk crap from

God I love aggies, man

Texas losing is more important to them than their own team winning. Really proving the “little brother” standing
