A team can call a timeout on a made basket before the ball is inbounded by the other team, and that's what Sendek wanted. He wanted to set his defense up after the massive shot.

Timeout not called withstanding, Herb Sendek has been a HC for 30 years, they should’ve fouled Oweh as soon as he caught the ball.

Aberdeen has the ball in his hands before Sendek tried to call the timeout. Offensive team can call timeout but defensive team cannot.

His problem is he is trying to get the attention of the official who now has responsibility for the U.K. end of the court. You want that timeout, you signal toward the baseline official. But UK got the ball to in bounds so fast I don’t think it would have been granted anyway.
