I'm excited for our series with Ole Miss. They're a legit squad and it's in Oxford. Good barometer for just where these Bat Cats are really at.

I'll have March Madness on one screen and Bat Cats on the other this evening after work.

They played the first game last night and we lost 5-0. Ole Miss has some dudes that can absolutely smash the ball and Cleaver (while better than previous weeks) had a rough outing. Mingione is going to have to shuffle the bullpen.

Hoping we can at least make it a rubber match.

Ole Miss' ace this season has been Cade Townsend. 4-1 with a 0.92 ERA 32 strikeouts and 7 walks over 19.2 innings. He suffered some shoulder inflammation Saturday @ Texas. MRI came back clean but don't expect to see him tonight. Hudson Calhoun is 1-0 with a 3.86 ERA and has been solid in relief this season. He's a likely candidate to draw the start tonight but who knows ?! I expect the UK offense to bounce back in Game 2 and score some runs tonight.

Didn’t Elliot pitch for you guys on Fridays because I thought Townsend got hurt on Saturday?

Glad to hear it came back clean.

I have no idea who we are putting in to pitch tonight. Townsend got hurt against Texas and he's listed as day to day. I'm thinking it may be Hudson Calhoun but could be wrong.

I saw where he had been feeling better and could pitch. Would love to see us get the bats going either way.
