We are waiting to receive our full share of SEC revenue.

It’s on the books to be done.

Texas runs the SEC so they’ll do what they like.

It’s on the to-do list, although I really don’t care either way. One of the benefits of fake grass is that we rarely have rain-outs. Having wooden bats in college baseball is higher on my personal priority list. Ping!

If it were up to me, I’d make playing field identical to Omaha.

That means grass and an even bigger field..

If the goal is a Natty.. why not practice and play on the same field?

Didn’t Gus make the dimensions of the Disch the same as Rosenblatt? I don’t know how it compares to the current home of the CWS, though.

I’ve never heard that before, but it makes sense to me..

Omaha does sit at a higher elevation though. The wind also blows different as well.

They’ve had money problems for years

Took 15 years to raise the money for the tennis facilities

AD said 2 problems. There is a concrete base originally installed for Astroturf. That would have to be jackhammered. Underneath that is solid rock, which would also have to be jackhammered to install drainage and irrigation. There is a lot of shade on the first base side not great for growing grass, although there was grass before and didn’t seem to be a problem. Upgrades to the ballpark will wait until the new football facility, the new volleyball facility, Olympic Village type facility being built for athletes, and $40 million upgrade to the softball ballpark are complete. Out AD does not like to take on debt. He builds when there is cash in hand. Might be speeded up if the price of oil stays high.

I prefer to keep the turf so we can hear fans melt every time we are on TV.

At least they could make the infield look brown like a normal field. The all green looks like a multi-sports complex
