And they traded Minkah to the Jets. Kinda cool to have Minkah and Malachi playing together though.

I’m a big fan of the guy but honestly, unless he really needs the money (which I highly doubt), I kind of hope he hangs it up given all the concussions he’s had. He’s got a wife and a toddler (3 years old?). You want to make sure you’re around to see your kids grow up.

On the other hand, if he’s just hell bent on sticking around, I hope he signs with a team with a good O line. Yes, some of the hits he’s taken were his own fault for holding on to the ball too long BUT for most of his time in Miami, his O line wax terrible.

Their philosophy seemed to be to stack the WR corp and just hope someone would get open. Their big run plays were always either individual efforts by Mostert or Achane or came when defenders were worried about Hill and Waddle.

And the Falcons are such a shite show.

Are the Falcons giving up on Penix already?

They are cutting Cousins. Penix is always hurt. So is Tua. I imagine Tua would be QB2.

As far as landing spots I don’t hate it. I think Stefanski is a good coach that was saddled with garbage in Cleveland.

Looks like Tua to ATL is pretty much a done deal

He’s a grown arse man and obviously what I think doesn’t really matter but Jeez, the Falcons are terrible.

Tua is probably QB1 there. Penix statistically hasn’t been great and he’s coming off an ACL tear

Plus Tua’s only 2.5 years older than him

Full circle.

I still believe in Tua. I think he'll end up QB1 with the Falcons.

Not sure about their OL...couldn't be much worse than Miami...but they do have legit talent at WR1, RB and TE.

All the hand-wringing about Tua's concussions is kind of insane to me. He's probably had a fraction of the amount of concussions Steve Young, Brett Favre, Bernie Kosar, etc had in their careers and I don't recall anyone ever saying that any of them should have quit the game in the middle of their careers.

The concussions were obviously bad but he's been an entirely different cat since that hip injury

Yes and no. I agree that most of those QBs probably had more concussions over their careers.

We never saw any of those QBs concussed to the point that they exhibited a fencing motion(body stiff, fingers look like they’re throwing gang signs). All of those QBs played on national tv but you never saw them knocked unconscious to the point of unconsciousness and needing to be carted off. We’ve seen that twice with Tua.

Favre probably had a bunch of smaller concussions. Tua has had 2 majorly significant ones that border on a traumatic brain injury

Tua was never 100% in the NFL. His first start at Bama saw him score a rushing TD with a QB sweep. He had several long rushing TDs. After the hip injury he wasn't the same. Still solid, but not as mobile.

Took away some of his throwing power as well. He was never a throw it over the mountain guy but never seemed like he lacked arm strength at Bama.
