I'd say a good hire. Win win with Florida.

And as bad as I hate to do it. Good luck Gators vs UK. Could use the bye in the SEC tourney.

A change of scenery has been great for CMW.

I think he is due for a raise and extension.

Would want an NCAA tourney win before doing that. But if he can win a first round game, certainly.

First time we'll have made the tournament in back to back seasons in over two decades.

This is our best chance at a second weekend ever. Depends on the draw though.

White got an three year extention and a raise to $4 million in September. I would like to see us win a couple of tournament games before giving him another raise.

Hugh Durham and Jim Harrick were better coaches.

I’m one to get some digs in when he blows a double digit lead or his teams go on a 7 minute scoring drought, but I’ve always said it was revisionist history when Florida fans claim Mike White was a bad coach. He was never “bad”. He just wasn’t good enough and could never get Florida over the hump despite the talent. And could never put a complete team together. There was always a flaw with his roster construction.

Durham, yes. Harrick is a cheater who dug us a deep hole that set us back for years.

MW is a good coach, always has been, it's just funny how things turned out after all the chirping from UGA fans about "stealing" him.

*a couple of UGA fans.
Most us know White was on thin ice at UF and needed a change of scenery

I'd say win win for both schools. Both feel good about their coach.

Never want to be the guy to follow the legend. That said White was given a long time because he was never bad, just not great. Never really in contention for conference titles. Never made much noise nationally. It was time for both parties to move on.

This is just a reminder that Georgia hasn’t won an NCAA tournament game in 10,948 days.

While true, Georgia has been to a Final Four. Do Tennessee fans even know what that is?
Oh, and 1998

Only if you don't count a vacated win. If you do, it's actually been longer since Tennessee won the SEC in football. We've never claimed to be a basketball power.

There’s a difference between a SEC title and one measly tournament win. Hell, we had three last year.
