You libtard progressives that wildly celebrated the move can no longer attack me for calling it what it was from day 1.

Secondly, I wonder if this swings the optics back to Auburn favor if they decide to can him early. Can call it a "good try" for Bruce if you will.

Did anyone ever doubt that it was nepotism? The hire was by definition nepotism. The question is if Steven was ever qualified for the job at all.

I don't think anyone expected him to be better than Bruce, but there was hope that with his experience he could get us to the tournament. The past month has been abysmal.

Yes. But then again they (people like you ) are pretty dumb.

Bruce is still the greatest, but he tarnished his reputation by resigning so close to the beginning of the season. He did the University, The Team, the fans, Steven and himself wrong. Steven should have gone to coach somewhere, but this is straight up nepotism.

Would it hurt Bruce's feelings if he was the only coach to ever have that high level of success at Auburn? Makes you wonder what he actually "built."

Eh, showing it can be done to a generation of fans is 80% of building something

Oh, you're so smart. Like anybody didn't know. Idiots that haven't stopped talking about Steven are the real morons. The bigger issues have always been Bruce's roster makeup and quitting before the season. How the hell can you gauge a first year head coach with this bunch.

If I list 5 inferior rosters that beat Steven this year will you promise to go back into hiding?

Alan Head estimates we have a nationally top 30 roster in basketball this year.

This whole roster excuse is way overblown.

We missed on three guys that cant play SEC ball. The rest can.

This roster can easily get a lot worse.

I think we have a top 20 roster in offensive talent. Top 120 in defensive talent. Bottom 25 in continuity/cohesion, probably bottom 100 in roster + system fit.

Saying we have a top 30 roster is wrong and oversimplified. Sorry Alan.

Although I do totally agree with this. It's a better roster than any roster we had under Barbee or Lebo by quite a bit, but the SEC is quite a bit better as well. I would say relative to the roster, SP is *slightly* underperforming

After a year of watching do you think that this is a nationally top 30 roster?

We are ranked 39th. We have played the #1 SOS. Seems if we are a top 30ish roster that the performance is right on track. We have dropped 3 games we shouldn’t have. We have won 2-3 we probably shouldn’t have. Like a normal team will do.

I’m not here in the thread to argue back and forth because I need another year to really judge Steven but I can clearly remember many years where we were praying to be in the top 150 in RPI. I will take where we are from where we have been historically all day every day.

How do you figure? We dropped A&M, Missouri, State, Ole Miss, OK State, up by 10 against Alabama.

How long are you going to keep doing this?
