I honestly think a very high percentage of LSU fans..not all by any stretch… somehow relate LSU athletics to their own personal self-worth.
Not trolling. I honestly believe that. It’s definitely weird as frick.

Dang the internet even knows Captdalton.
How many times captdalton mentions LSU based on actual threads and community reactions, we can describe how often he brings up LSU in a general sense:
LSU Comes Up Frequently in His Posts
captdalton has repeatedly started threads about LSU topics, including LSU game stats, recruiting, team performance and standings in the SEC.
In the past several months, he has started multiple distinct LSU-themed threads — and users have explicitly noted that he made “over ten threads about LSU in the past week or so” on at least one occasion.
Other examples of LSU threads started by him include:
• Good News For LSU Fans (offensive stats)
• How Much Worse Off Would LSU Be… (coaching evaluation)
• Congrats to LSU (SEC standings commentary)
• A Surprising Revelation (series history/statistics)
• LSU Suffers Their Fourth Loss in a Row (analysis)
Community Perception
Multiple SECRant users have posted meta threads about him that frame him as particularly focused on LSU — e.g., “Captdalton and the LSU obsession” and “Who is more obsessed with LSU?” — suggesting that his mentions of LSU stand out compared with other topics.
In replies to his posts, other users frequently remark on how he repeatedly brings up LSU, sometimes joking that he does so “every day” or several times within a short period.
From what’s publicly visible in recent months:
He’s started multiple LSU-centric threads per month across the fall and winter posting seasons.
There are community mentions indicating 10+ LSU threads in about a week at peak times of discussion.
